There was a clear correlation straight away between people who didn't support Ancelotti and those who refused to accept any criticism of Benitez.

It was extremely strange, and there was no logic to it. It's a completely bizarre angle to demand people support for an inept former reds manager, when they couldn't support one of the all time best.

The shouts about Ancelotti last year look absolutely ridiculous now. A top manager who did a very decent job.

If it wasn’t for injuries he would secured Europe. We beat Liverpool and United at their homes for the first time, 4th/5th place until April. Ancelotti had Allan, Digne, Doucoure and Rodriguez out for periods throughout the season. I agree, the shouts have always been ridiculous. We secured 59 points..
