Oh so it was player errors that lost us games or bad officiating? Not the manager?

So when players score a winner, who won us that game?

Its both but let me ask - did Silva lose us the Origi Derby or Pickford?

Sometimes players/refs make mistakes which cost us games yet its always the manager who takes the flack when the fans have it in for them.

Nonsense, we were outplayed for pretty much the whole match, two man midfield was absolutely disastrous set up against them. More clinical finishing by them early or Pickford doesn't make his early saves and we could've easily been down 4-0 at 30 min.
But he was still correct in stating that the game was delicately poised at that moment

What does that even mean?

The way we were set up in that game meant we were always in for a heavy loss, which is what happened (somewhat historical in fact).

Was the City vs Leeds result "delicately poised when City were only up 1-0? No they were always on for a hiding like we were in the Derby. Just because we may have a few minutes here and there where the score line has us only down a goal and "theoretically" still in it doesn't tell the story.

Are you seriously arguing Benitez would have got us a result but for Coleman? I'd say if you want to focus on individual player contributions to the final result focus on how Pickford kept the score line decent for the first 30 minutes despite how our set up left us exposed to chance after chance for them.

Some on here rival Benitez in terms of making excuses and blaming everyone else for his failings.

What does this even mean..

Everybody knows while there is only a goal in it the team who is losing or getting batters will always be in with a chance of getting an equaliser right up until the final whistle goes no matter how much pressure they might be under or how much possession they concede..
all that team needs as a free kick in any area of the pitch they can reach the goal with.. a corner or even a throw in and absolutely any team can force that during 90mins..
I watched City absolutely slaughter Wolves the other weekend.. they were leading 1 -0 with a very dodgy penalty. They must of had 22 shots on target.. however going into injury time Wolves who were down to ten men managed to get out of there own half force a corner and missed getting an equaliser by a whisker.. if they had it would of been the greatest robbery since Turpin...

Point being the Derby at the time of the mistake was on a knife edge and the mistake ultimately took the game away.. if you remember at the time the team looking most like scoring was’nt the red one..

Depends if Leeds were attacking several times. Everton were in search of an equaliser at the time of the mistake so with the phase of play at that time it was poised. Is that so hard to comprehend. Overall Liverpool were far superior but at that time it was poised, they scored and game over and not poised any longer. Simple when you think about it.

horrible vile fat man. get out

And how long would us looking the most like scoring have lasted? Because in nearly every game, we have only looked like the time most like scoring for short spells. Even the Burnley game we won, we had a great 15 min spell but around that, it was Burnley.

Only a matter of time before Richy does one of his sulks and Rafael bombs him out the club as well.

He's quickly getting shut of our better players.

Deffo is on the wind up here isn't he
I suspect we were losing Richarlison regardless of the manager, barring 4th place or better (and perhaps not even then, given the contract situation).

It will be interesting to see what Benitez has had in mind once he has to show his cards.
