Why so much hostility just because I don’t think a manager should be sacked after 5 months and having spent less than 2 million quid..

Like I say I would like very much for people to debate my points.. like it just as much if they disagree and put a valid point forward because it would be pretty boring if everyone agreed.. if not please just ignore my posts and move on to the next.. no need for any hostility is there just a forum where we can discuss thing..

To be fair, you're on an Everton forum so it does matter. Refusing to be clear who you support while on a football supporters' forum is a pretty big red flag. There's plenty of supporters from other clubs on here and even some kopites, who are open and honest and we all have a bit of a laugh.

But anyway, back on topic.... Benitez is crap.

Usually it just helps the rest of us to know which angle you’re coming from with which team you support. I have many Liverpool supporting mates who are desperate we keep him because of how crap we’re doing.

Benitez is here to stay for a long time in my opinion.
I don't believe he is under any pressure at the club and has probably cemented his place even more since his appointment.

I am not sure where that will bring us but I think people need to realise that it is the case.

What people must understand is the people above thought very very carefully before appointing Benitez.. nobody else had that many interviews so he had quite a grilling about his plans going forward.. for that reason they were hardly gonna get shut of him after a couple of bad runs or results.. they would of known about the backlash so were prepared to rough it out..
I honestly believe Benitez does have a plan but things out of his control have gone against him and for that reason people need to be patient.. he has the knowledge and experience to sort this out.

There is no ‘we’ here as far as your concerned.
Your an outsider who has waded in to a family argument uninvited and has insisted on pontificating about the issues involved.
You have been listened to and your points have been debated so that now you are just repeating the same mantra and being arrogant and condescending to any supporters who do not hold your view.
A team moreover which by your own admission you have no investment in emotional or otherwise, which ensures your opinion carry less weight than you clearly imagine.
As far I can discern you are little more than a devious, duplicitous irritant whose motives on here are suspect to say the least.

I agree. You are entitled to your view - which in my opinion has been quite balanced and fair. I'm desperate for Everton to start playing better footy and get us up the table. I honestly don't know if Benitez is the man to do that but I do think he needs to be given a fair chance - as we have always done with our managers. To me that means he needs a decent transfer window - but if he doesn't get it right in January and we slip down the table he'll be sacked and I have no problem with that.

which would mean something if “the people above” (and it’s PERSON, by the way, not PEOPLE) had ANY track record of making good decisions

But he doesn’t. Sadly when it comes to footballing matters, he has only a track record of awful decisions. This is just the latest, and possibly the worst.
