Maybe am just one of those people with old school values who like to see managers given a fair crack under certain circumstances.. I must be a traditionalist because I get so upset watching the Big Match Revisited in ITV4 because of what foootball has now become...
‘Old school values’ don’t make me laugh.
What’s old school about being deliberately opaque about who you support.
Your point blank refusal to be honest about who you support raises serious questions about your motives here.
At this point you are clearly untrustworthy and the pro Benitez argument is actually tainted by your support of it.
Ironic.

I agree. You are entitled to your view - which in my opinion has been quite balanced and fair. I'm desperate for Everton to start playing better footy and get us up the table. I honestly don't know if Benitez is the man to do that but I do think he needs to be given a fair chance - as we have always done with our managers. To me that means he needs a decent transfer window - but if he doesn't get it right in January and we slip down the table he'll be sacked and I have no problem with that.
Completely agree with what you have said.. there are plenty of blues just like you good self desperate for changes and an end to the turmoil the club has been in for a number of years now.. for that reason I think sometimes a controversial thing needs to happen to shake the status quo up and sometimes that means upsetting people and making unpopular decisions.. we know Benitez has history of this and we also know he is very regimented in his approach to management.. listen he will upset players as past players will testify but on the other hand some players swear by him.. ask Gray.. Townsend and the younger players from the other night..

This job is a massive job given where the Club is now and to put it right is a monster of a job that most managers would’nt touch as if they fail it would set back there reputations.. Benitez has shown he’s really up for this challenge.. if he fails get shut like the previous five but people should give him a fair go first before hounding him..

Listen no problem mate.. you have made your point about what you think about me and my posts very clear and That’s fine it’s a forum..

I will continue posting and hopefully people will discuss my points for and against without going off topic.. might be better for you to just skip any posts I put on and ignore them..

Cheers mate..

This could go either way. It could be a Red, or it could be one of the regulars on here having a bit of fun.

I like him either way, seems a good sport. Up the Dalian!
Seems like a condescending bell in half of their posts. But depends how you interpret things I guess.

Don't disagree about your last line though. Won 3 of their last 4.

It's Christmas. So in the spirit of the season I speak on behalf of most here when I say to you Get stuffed ya dirty kopite .

For the last few years, we have moaned about how our club doesnt stick up for itself and doesnt call out bad decisions against us. Say what you want about Benitez but he has been willing to come out, be vocal about the hypocrisy that is rife in this league and that is a good step in the right direction.

That being said, I think the quote from him that is getting attention is that we have 9 outfield players available. That simply cannot be correct. There might be 9 outfield players that he would class as worth of selection in the PL but the clubs seem to have agreed a definition as to what is classed as a senior player and our youngsters must have crossed that threshold. As such, while his quote is a good soundbyte, it must be inaccurate and he should be looking upwards to ask questions as to why that definition was agreed.

I' agree with a lot of what you say I just think the squad is definitely weaker this season and also there's a lot players who need shifting I guess all I'm saying I'm not sure sacking him will achieve anything maybe judge him after 18 months in but that's just my opinion
If its weaker, its because slug body wanted to get rid of James. Carlo also had a lot of injuries and had most of the same players. Still managed a lot better on every front.
Its not unresonable to want to give him some time before laying judgement tho. :)
