44.5% is not a majority tho, based on that poll! The Silent Majority.
This is something we are going to have to HOPE he provides. What Manager is there when not supported by the majority shareholder? He is here because Everton has become a shambles with no cohesion at the top level. I don't know how he will do but we need a ruthless clear out and singular vision. That is something he can provide, hopefully with great results when done.
44% of people in this vote hate Everton
Sack sack sack
He won at Madrid and Inter, and was punted due to player power.
Won the geordies the only trophy they realistically can win: the championship.
Multiple mutant accounts behaving as they do. ?Shoking poll results.
Worst run in 30 years, close to (if not in) the relegation battle, playing dire football, with an ex-kopite who called us a small club in charge and nearly half of us are happy with him.
Unexplainable.
And yes, I'm aware of the injuries and the 1,7 mill spent
He probably isn't , but should beAre the Benitez lovers liking our league position?
A defeat or even a draw against Newcastle and he's toast
And if pigs could fly muchachoUp the Blues! It's a bit embarrassing being managed by Raf Benitez but if he can win us a trophy like he did with the red side well and good.
Hurrah!!!
I fully understand this position it is highly sensible and the upheaval during this new regime has harmed us greatly. Two good performances in our last 3. I am not convinced he is the ideal person to take us forward but I am convinced we can't sack him without a plan.
The minute you start naming alternative managers the fan base gets even more divided.
Potter for me plays the way I would love to watch everton play... but he would need to overhaul the squad. We would find ourselves midtable this time next year and we would find elements of the fanbase calling for his head.
The fact is there is no short-term fix to our predicament. If we can offer some improvements over the next 4 fixtures I would rather stick than twist. Its a pragmatic choice rather than an emotional one though
It would be nice to watch some actual 'football' wouldn't it not parking the bus constantly.I fully understand this position it is highly sensible and the upheaval during this new regime has harmed us greatly.
But, as with Allardyce , the direction of travel in terms of the style of football is entirely disheartening to me.
Perhaps if he could find a way to change his career- long footballing ethos, more positive less negative, I could be more optimistic about his tenure but I think this is unlikely and the evidence thus far confirms this.
This completely, which is why it is decisive when people claim that the fan base is divided into Benitez lovers and haters. The fact that I see it as sensible for the good of Everton to stick with Benitez for the time being does not mean I love him.Two good performances in our last 3. I am not convinced he is the ideal person to take us forward but I am convinced we can't sack him without a plan.
