It's horrible that some fans would rather see him fail this season than see Everton Succeed, I see why the words bitter are mentioned in relation to some everton fans tbh
Said the other day we do have an eliment of rubbish fans, there embarrassing.
Evertonians are 100 % in the Rafael camp, weve sorted the men from the boys so to speak
#InRafaWeTrust.

We do have a group of fans who are what I would call ‘negative’ but aren’t in any way ‘rubbish’.

I personally can stand behind Benitez but to say those who cannot aren’t 100% Evertonian is pish.

Of course mate, 20 Derby wins on the spin against that lot and I'd be able to turn around and say "great decision from the board".

But everything Everton have done this summer in particular has absolutely drilled me into the ground. He shouldn't be manager of Everton Football Club imo.....but there's people on Evertons board who shouldn't be either and theirs a squad who have absolutely threw in the towel time after time who shouldn't be at this club.

Luckily, my opinion means sod all and affects no one but myself ;)
I understand the emotion behind a bitter rivalry, no matter how far away I am. During football season it's this bizarre us v. them mentality that borders on hatred for some people because of some strange sense of self worth gained by supporting a particular club. Liverpool isn't red, Liverpool isn't blue. Liverpool's a collection of people that are salt of the Earth people. 97 Evertonians or LFC fans didn't die at Hillsborough. 97 of your neighbors died. The color of the badge they support meant nothing. Rafael's an asshole, but in a pragmatist sense. He cares about his people, his squad, and nothing else matters in the football world. LFC was his squad for a long time and he had success, yet he does not just support their charities. He supports Merseyside, he and his wife's charity doings show that. It'd be quite weird and out of touch to say that he doesn't have a soft spot for them, but I doubt with every fiber of my being that he comes here to play Agent Benitez. He wants to win and whether you doubt his tactics in the "modern game" he will grind himself to a nub trying to do it.

All that said, Rafael will come and go in whatever time. Carlo came and went. Moyes came and went. Fat Sam was never at Everton in my own personal universe, thankfully. If you're like me you're a supporter of whatever you support because of the memories, the joys, the highs that occasionally happen. Don't let some grudge over words drive a stake between you and Everton. We both know the connection is more than that yeah? We'll find a time to be miserable about something else.

Tell you what, the Everton metal badge he wore on his jacket in his MOTD interview looked good on, our emblem suits him.

There was actually a time when lots of people from the city supported both Everton and Liverpool to some extent. Admittedly it was a very long time ago, but it did happen. Benitez looking the part as an Everton manager is almost a throwback to those days.
