I must admit I feel a bit better knowing Benitez will have more control now in who comes in rather than leaving it to the awful Brands..

Do you need to be a fan to want to see a team.. players or manager do well?

I follow loads of clubs.. like to see Napoli do well in Italy... Athletico in Spain even Ajax in Holland.. there’s four or five Premier League Clubs I like to see do well and I always look for results of the North West Clubs too... what’s wrong with this.. is there some sort of problem having an opinion on different clubs...

because 'I feel a bit better' implies you were feeling bad about the DOF of a team you've only taken an interest in 6mths ago when your employer joined the club. You're an embarrassment lad. Get a life ffs!

Moving this from Digne to Benitez thread.

If we went to something like 3412 using wingbacks then it probably benefits, Bramthwaite, Mykolenko, Nkounkou, Godfrey, Coleman and possibly Patterson if he joins.

Interestingly, Mykolenko can also play left centre back in a 3 and it could be that the number 3 shirt is taken up with another player? I like the idea of him playing LCB and Godfrey RCB while developing Branthwaite to play between them. Really athletic back 3.

As you say, it should be cheaper to buy more 'defensive' types than attackers.

For a 3412 we'd have DCL, Richarlison and Gray for the 3 forward positions already. Gordon and Dobbin as cover with possibly one more needed.

Adding Patterson would, in theory mean we would then mainly focus on centre midfield.

Seems like a good idea to me.

I like it...Doucs would likely be deeper which I'm not that keen on but were he to have a license to get forward like Kovacic, could work nicely.

I really like that idea actually. Imagine an Everton manager / players (past and present) covers album.

I'd quite like to get David Moyes to cover something by Arab Strap, for example.

Anyway, back on topic, someone contact the club and suggest, IMHO, a brilliant PR initiative Bemitez could lead on here. Stuff team building, formations etc, I'm up for Musical Everton fun!
