Fullbacks aren't going to change a thing.

In order to play how he wants, we'd need Kante and Declan Rice to do 3 people's jobs in midfield and VVD and Thiago Silva at CB...and even then they'd struggle.

He's delusional and blames the players for not executing his plans.

Some Ukrainian 22 year old and possibly some Scottish 20 year old wouldn't stop us conceding 3 today...fact.

Not under Benitez, no. However we have needed cover for Digne (let's not go there) and someone to challenge / replace Coleman for a long time.

But you're right, we need midfielders. Again, that point stands whoever comes in.

Edit: probably wasn't clear in my first post, but these two new players are probably going to be used by a new manager sooner or later so my hope is they're actually useful long term acquisitions.

If Benitez is awful then so must Ancelotti, Koeman & Silva who all underachieved here.

I do agree he's struggling at present.

There’s not much he can do with this squad, players like Keane and Holgate will perform the same under any manager.
