I'm not a big fan of Keane but he was better at defending corners last season(and scoring from them) under a different manager which was your point right? it would be the same under a different manager you said. Not Benitez' fault or something like that... He's not a good manager anymore, every metric makes it clear...the most important being 5 wins all season

This has been coming for years mate…the club is a mess, poor recruitment, no stability, no plan. At least now everything is coming out and things are getting changed. We finished 10th under Carlo Ancelotti, we need a major rebuild. I’m happy to give him time, unless we are in serious danger of relegation.

2 young players signed. Add them to the likes of dcl, richy, Gordon and get in a progressive manager to develop a proper team.
Not a backward dinosaur.

There's so much there to build on now. Reminds me of Leicester a couple of years ago. Not sure Rafael is the man to bring on all this talent but he's done well with Gordon and Gray. Maybe he deserves the chance to build a side that can properly challenge.

but a couple of points off Europe
we are, what if we leave it too late to make the change?

Probably. I've been very disappointed with him tactically this season, the organisation has been shocking.

Individually though players are performing (with a few obvious exceptions).
Two outfield players are performing. Two.

One of whom wouldn’t be within shouting distance of Benitez’s starting XI if it weren’t for covid/injuries

We have won 1 game in 12. We are along with Norwich the worst form team in the league.
We are conceding terrible goals and playing deplorable football. There is nothing to justify keeping him In a job he should never have got .

Where did I say I want you to trust Moshiri?
I can understand people being disappointed and pissed off. That part I get.

The part I dont get is after every defeat the posts rammed with "he's got to go now" and "That's the end for him after that".

How do people think that when we know this owner is 100% behind Benitez and he's allowing him to reconfigure the club behind the scenes and now spend tens of millions of his cash?

I dont get it. It's wasted energy.

If we're not in decent shape by the end of the season I'd say we need to rethink the manager situation. But there'll be no change of manager between now and then, and it'd be highly irresponsible if the manager situation did change. One false move and we really could be looking at spiralling to the bottom of the league.

Keep your heads. New players will be coming in and players like Calvert-Lewin will be back up to speed and we'll get our good results again.
Is the owner right or wrong Dave? 100% behind the manager.

Should we trust him or not?
