It’s a big black mark against him. I can’t fathom why any manager would look at him and think ‘yes, first team centreback there’. He’s a car crash.

You’re talking about the manager who fell out with one of his best players because he wouldn’t let him go forward. Then he benches him, then he switches to a wingback system needing attacking full backs, then he takes the ageing right back and plays him pretty much on the left wing.

Positives for me are:

Signing Gray + Mykolenko and possibly Patterson.

If he can bring in a defensive midfielder in the same profile and move 5 or 6 players on this window then thats something positive on the recruitment side.

Formations, performances and results are mind blowing but if he can show he can bring in high potential quality and get players out the door...

...could be a decent DOF.

Just need the right manager to come in.

For me its Amorim or Gallardo...Potter 3rd choice but the list is huge.

Not sure about Benitez as DOF, but I would love if we could get Amorim to take his place as mamager. Hes done amazing with Sporting.

Probably a sign of fan sentiment. When I voted "OUT" a little after the game, I believe it was something like 183 IN to 236 OUT. In Just over 12 hours, it has gone to where it is today.

Do you really think Benitez would take that role? It's basically him admitting he's not doing a good enough job on the pitch so he's taking a step back to the day to day side of things. It could work, I can see your angle, I just don't think he'd be up for it.

Here I'm thinking that having all that time off would give RB the opportunity to drill these players.

I was about to set off on a long drive, turned on the game just before I left, saw Brighton score at 4'. Could tell right away with Coleman at LB and another f'n midfield two that this was a complete disaster even by our recent standards which is saying a lot.

I didn't see the rest, I usually avoid social media when I can't watch live and watch the replay, but I got an email with the subject "Relegation" and I knew we'd lost.

I really do not want to undergo yet another disruptive change. We're toxic to potential manager and player recruits now. But FFS the errors in selection, formation, and tactics that he made today were inexcusable. Not the least because they have failed all season long.

Absolute joke post match from Benitez - can't listen to it anymore.

The digs at digne, when we haven't got a left back on the pitch and he picks coleman, because he's commited - the stubborn beaut is doing exactly what he did with James.

Says he didnt want to play DCL for the full 90, but doesn't use all available subs and the young strikers on the bench who did well at Chelsea don't get a sniff but his mate rondon gets on to trundle about?

Then he throws every player under the bus, due to mistakes his formation is creating due to the pressure it puts us under. 2 in midfield hasn't worked once, but he wont change?!

3 weeks without a game and that's was the best he can do tactically?

I am starting to believe he is trolling us - yes, we know we've got crap players and a shockingly imbalanced squad, but that doesn't excuse this footballing relics tactics, inflexibility, stubbornness and the self serving rubbish - none of it's his fault, typical kopite.

I'm not having that there aren't other managers in world football that couldn't do better than he has.

Don't kid yourselves that we can't go down with this fella in charge - were in freefall and don't look remotely like improving.

It still sucks this morning. Nothing positive except Gordon, if he doesn't go, I fear we may finally be relegated, by a Kopite legend, you couldn't make it up.

I posted in the betting thread ages ago about putting a few quid on our opposition to score from corners against our tactical genius of a manager.. especially any centre halves etc..
Yet still, this was how we marked up yesterday.. incredible really.
