Benitez tactics always seem to go wrong and it went horribly wrong against Brighton. He played 5 at the back, at home, against Brighton, a team known for their good midfielders. We needed to get on the front foot, and when we did during that game, you could see Brighton was nervous. That is what we should be doing from the start. Benitez's formation didn't help things because it took one man out of the attack equation.

It sucks to watch our club falling week after week.

To watch Coleman , who should’ve been be replaced at RB years ago , trotting down the left tapping at the ball with his right foot like a kid out of position , the defender knowing he could just trying and push him out as cutting in was the only option whilst an international left back sat on the bench epitomises this man’s reign.

The manager sees off James , fine many don’t see that as controversial. Week after week The bloke stubbornly sticks to a midfield system that simply doesn’t work whilst he seemed willing to die in a ditch for a truly appalling striker as he’d bought him . Now with all the glaring issues across our squad its left back he believes needs strengthening as he bombs out an international football and yesterday treats us to an aging right back playing there in what looked like a tribute to his Europa league debut .

Sitting in my seat watching this is as painful as Its ever been . No grinning quotes or emojis , lines about Geordies , the failure of potterball (feels a little empty today mind ) , about how its all brands fault , delight about the RS drawing , his charity work or how he won stuff when Adam was a lad will even touch the sides any more . The disconnect this man is causing is horrible , it really is and week by week the mantra of there’s nothing to worry about gets more hollow .

I went to that game with real hope but we’re miles off . We’ve now been well beaten by Watford and brighton at home so we better get something from this Norwich , Burnley and Newcastle games or whatever empty soundbites people want to come out with we’ll be right in it . Those teams will certainly have identified us as a winnable fixture because we are .

once DCL is back though we’ll be climbing the league right ?

Absolute joke post match from Benitez - can't listen to it anymore.

The digs at digne, when we haven't got a left back on the pitch and he picks coleman, because he's commited - the stubborn beaut is doing exactly what he did with James.

Says he didnt want to play DCL for the full 90, but doesn't use all available subs and the young strikers on the bench who did well at Chelsea don't get a sniff but his mate rondon gets on to trundle about?

Then he throws every player under the bus, due to mistakes his formation is creating due to the pressure it puts us under. 2 in midfield hasn't worked once, but he wont change?!

3 weeks without a game and that's was the best he can do tactically?

I am starting to believe he is trolling us - yes, we know we've got crap players and a shockingly imbalanced squad, but that doesn't excuse this footballing relics tactics, inflexibility, stubbornness and the self serving rubbish - none of it's his fault, typical kopite.

I'm not having that there aren't other managers in world football that couldn't do better than he has.

Don't kid yourselves that we can't go down with this fella in charge - were in freefall and don't look remotely like improving.

I’ve not been able to listen to this chancer for ages now, I get more annoyed each time I hear his mealy mouthed excuses. Since @ringmaster stopped printing the written highlights of his press conferences on here, I have only seen the snippets that people have posted on here. I’m sure I’m not missing anything meaningful.
