I am a fan with maybe a different to some others. We are stuck with this horrible situation but really feel that we just need to try and ride this out and stay in the premiership this season. The issue with Rafael is most didn’t want him and dont like him . We need points on the board and that is all that matters
We aren't riding it out though. We are losing games. Games that we not only need to win, but should be winning, even with the squad we have.

You've just said we need points on the board. Where are they going to come from?

People don't like benitez, and it is their right to not like him, just as it was with allardyce and with any other manager we've ever had. Remember people's views of Moyes? in fact, you don't need to. Head over to his thread in the world football forum.

The simple fact is they would have been kept quiet had benitez delivered any kind of results... He hasn't

I didn't want him. That's a fact.
But now he's here I don't see the point in removing him now IF the problems run much deeper than just him.

In my opinion any manager would struggle with this group of players.
No other club would retain a manager with this record

Every previous manager we had was sacked for significantly less. They have every right to feel very angry. This manager is being held to the lowest standards imaginable.

Name me one other established top flight club who tolerate this tosh

The point I am making is Moshri is clearly backing him and we can moan all we want but he is going nowhere for the time being and I just hope he turn things around and get some much needed points so we can regroup for next season when hopefully a lot of dross are either out of contract or sold .
Of course Moshiri is backing him,
An utterly useless bellend of an owner is backing a an utterly useless bellend of a manager.
Whole situation has a certain elegance don’t you think?

That's the issue isn't it?
Doesn't matter how good or bad he does that is never going to be forgiven.
No it’s not, he is a fat kopite though.

The issue is he’s always been an awful, defensive minded manager who causes conflict because he’s arrogant. Plus he’s tactically inept for the modern game.

That’s what I said in the summer and my stance remains the same.

Same way as you think everything is a lie I suppose.
No i don't. I'm open minded.

I had no issue with him dropping Digne because his form had dropped off. I have a big issue with then ostracising him entirely to the point where he preferred Coleman as a left wing back. It was an act of self harm. It was a disgrace and hes not fit to manage us.

The club comes first. End of story.

Didnt he fall out with the likes of Terry and Alonso

You'd have to be properly deluded to believe they were poor professionals
Alonso maybe but surely you are aware of of the 9/11 baiting, racist trolling, pint pot p1ssing, team mate wife shagging, Bentley front seat staining, brown envelope trousering, disabled bay parking, photographer assaulting misdemeanours of John Terry?

And if it was solely down to him I would be on your side of the argument but we've been a mess for a long time now so this was always going to happen on someone's watch.

In fact as go as far to say we have been getting steadily worse since we got a DOF. We may see change now we don't have one.

We are only very lucky that Newcastle and Burnley are so bad this year, but Dyche and Burnley are strong and might get a run together, and Newcastle might buy their way out of of this. It's not 100% certain we won't get sucked in, and if we do, we don't have the fight and we definitely don't have the squad to come back straight away .
Can't believe I'm talking about this, but it doesn't mean I'm not a genuine supporter and lover of the club. it's ok to talk about it
I said it earlier but us picking up the odd win will be sufficient to not worry about going down but it will still be horrible for us to experience as fans. Even as little as 5 wins out of the rest of the games will keep us up easy, as bad as that sounds. Got a few draws in us as well so more points on the board. That is why I don't think we will be in trouble directly , would take us not winning again until march to have a huge impact , or a steady lose every game this month.

Even until now we have managed the odd draw!

Burnely and Newcastle are teams we should be concerned about. As it stands both are going down , or at least one are. The latter can buy points to be safe and the former can grind out results , although the fact they haven't yet is what makes me think they won't. Norwich is a none entity (unless they beat us this month!) And Watford clearly are not going to turn it around.

It really is amazing that we are only safe based on a extremely poor Bottom 4. A couple of different results in the last 3 months and the league table would be much more worrying.

Oh I'm no fan of Terry but he was a top defender. I find it hard to imagine he wasnt fully committed etc. You don't win what he won without being extremely driven
