Because our current manager is useless and has no idea how to play in the modern era.

and, again, because our current manager is useless and doesn't like people saying "your system doesn't work, can we please change it" so he forces out yet another player that is far better than most of the rest of our squad.

Which may be the case - but if Benitez goes I can't see any other situation than Moshiri going cap in hand to Nuno or giving it to Lampard who took Chelsea into mid table spending £250 million in the process and failed to get Derby promoted.

Genuinely looks like we could get relegated and a chunk of the fan base would shrug and say ‘well what was he supposed to do with those players?’
It's about a 10% chance mate. We're 1 point from 20 with more than half our games left. Even if Burnley won their game in hand were still 5 points clear of them. Yes it's a reality I'm not disagreeing and yes the team is massively underachieving but even if we lost 3 more games then Benitez got the boot we'd have enough in us to stay up with a new manager + plus new manager bounce. So Benitez will either turn it around and we'll be safe or a new guy will come in and do it

You can see why zonal doesn't work with the cowards we have as defenders.

There's 4 Brighton players without a blue shirt near them (2 back post, 1 from right back, 1 sat near the edge of the box). Even if Pickford saved it (miraculously), it drops to any of the others.

Raffa masterclass.
Hoddle called that sequence of play out in his analysis, Keane was on the back post and inexplicably drifted towards the centre of the 6 yard box leaving that space free.
I have trouble believing that is down to anything other than a brain fart from Keane.

At the moment, I genuinely can't imagine either doing a worse job than what Benitez is doing now.

He's an absolute disaster and you know it.

The fact that all you lot have left now is praying Moshiri doesn't sack him and doom-mongering over his replacement shows that there isn't a single thing you can defend him with now.

Complete whattaboutery - we are worse on the pitch, end of story. Ancelotti handled injuries better than Benitez
Yes Carlo is a better manager that's not up for debate.
We aren't getting another Carlo so we resort back to the form before him.

This type of form isn't new to us. It's why we have had 6 managers in as many years (almost).
We can carry on sacking managers every year or stick with one.

Nope, good blues know the score, we know your game.

This situation with Benitez will soon be over and your fun with it.?
Maybe you can address the matter at hand instead of barfing up the old 'good blue, bad blue' cliché.
Did you or did you not save the @banno comment (ripped out of context) to score some cheap likes after an Everton loss, when emotions run high.
If not, why wait 7 days to react? Just after a painful loss?

There was 11 solid professionals fit and available yesterday. The bench had youth and experience. It wasn't ideal but it should have been enough.
The manager picked the wrong team and set them up wrong. Then failed to change anything for 75 minutes.
He also didn't have the guts to maybe have someone other than DCL who had no match fitness, take that peno.
Benitez is the culprit.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the previous managers have been the culprit because of the squad?

Willo, which of these other managers has done this poorly in his first 6 months????

Stop making out like our worst form in 30 years is par for the course. It obviously isn't or it wouldn't be the worst form for 30 bleeding years now would it?

Pickford, Richarlison and DCL are better than where we are, no doubt. Two of them he hasn’t had for a part of the season. The rest are run of the mill, 6/10 most weeks, Premier League Footballers. Even some of

After them, there are some who would not look out of place in the Championship.
I think Godfrey was excellent last season, As was Doucoure and Allan. Both Gray and Gordon are doing well now. Mina is good when fit.
There's lots of good players.
You should have seen the state of the squad under Walker, Kendal mk 2, and Smith.
