Proud to have trademarked this.
Sorry mate, its a character from the Cult Wars series :/

Playing devils advocate here. (I’m still more so Rafael out then in!)

But, for years most fans have moaned how we are underachieving in relation to the money we’ve spent.

That the players have got away with murder.

The players are stealing a living.

The players aren’t good enough.

The players are coasting/ not arsed.

That we need someone to come in and clear all these types of players out, or at the very least remind them that our standards expected are far greater.

Then Rafael comes in, upsets players perhaps with some honesty about their performances/ efforts & what’s expected of them and now that’s not the approach we want anymore?!

I’m not excusing the managers underpermances either, but in terms of someone coming in and battering these players we’ve raged about, isn’t that what it looks like he’s doing and thst a lot of the fan base asked for?!
This is the crucial part. If "more effort" was the solution to our problems, they would be easily solved but it's not.

We have some really bad players playing for a really bad manager working for one of the most incompetent boards in the league.

I believe that is true.
I believe he is solidly in charge at the club and unless there is a melt down on the field over the next couple of months then he will remain in charge.
I think Moshiri could not care less what the fans think should happen or RB would not have ever been appointed.

The fan reaction at Goodison on Tuesday will be interesting as that is the acid test rather than some ramdom posters on a chat room.
The fan reaction will be great as we record a win.

Utterly embarrassed himself bringing Reidy into it. What a clown.

So deluded. The way we are going and the way he is setting us up he'll be lucky to keep us up forget about getting to 10th.

I thought the press conference was dreadful, but the way I interpreted the Peter Reid thing was Benitez saying what would Peter Reid, as an example of a massive blue, do if a player said they didn't want to play for Everton anymore?

The way he articulated that, and a lot of other stuff, was terrible (and often is) but I think I understood the point he was making

End of the day, we'd all accept it if results justified all of his guff, but they don't so we are where we are

What about Coleman?

That's some actual evidence.

Carlo got blamed for the players not being motivated so why isn't Rafael if we do still have an attitude problem?

It's just another way to download the responsibility and accountability for our crap performances onto the players.

Stalin? Guess you could say jaffas as bad as him

Right, for one, I'm gonna say this first, I don't think Benitez meant it as a dig at Reid.

Now I've been clear on that... just because Peter Reid, who has no contact with Benitez or certainly wouldn't have done in the 40 mins between the comments and his tweet, didn't take it as a dig, doesn't mean it wasn't a dig!

The issue with the entire thing is, Benitez had no need to bring Reid into it. He could have left it at 'ex players'. But no, he wants to show how much he knows about Everton, about what the fans 'want' (because apparently he knows and he's the only man who can give us that), that he had to prove it so namechecked Reid... five times.

He's smart enough to know that that was going to be seen as taking Reid on, even if he didn't mean it that way, which I don't think he did.

On the Digne situation, I don't trust a word he says. It's not news to any of us that have a brain that Digne wants to leave. But we know that he suddenly really only wanted to leave after Benitez got his feet under the table and started turning an already bad team into what has to be one of the worst-performing Everton sides in living memory.

And for the washed up prat to have the actual gall to mention the stats thing, when he took pleasure in telling us how much we'd run around in our worst home derby defeat in 40 years, is horrific.

Anyone who supports this manager, I just can't get it. It's not about Digne, players come and go. But right now, Benitez is the personification of every single thing wrong with Everton football club. He's like COVID accept the only person who has the vaccine is Moshiri and he's combining it with heroin so he can get on the phone to Jim White and chat utter b******s about how we're going to have the best stadium in the universe.

What about Coleman?

So now the same question to you

Did this attitude problem develop in the last 6 months or did we have an attitude problem last year?

If we had it last year and we were performing much better then than we are now then do you really think it's solely down to player attitudes?
