This is the bit which I just can't get my head around – and sorry if I keep going on about it – but doesn't the fact that our problems predate Benitez tell you something that maybe getting rid of him won't actually change anything?
He emphasises our issues ten fold

He’s the most easily solvable major one.

He’s not the biggest, but the bigger ones are much harder to solve. The bigger ones also have at least the potential for future upside too.
He's definitely the easiest, yeah. Can you really live with another manager coming in and 'getting to know the players' for another 6 months again though? You're just asking for more Iwobi, and I don't think that's fair on the rest of us.

Also, sorry, his subs are just baffling. Not the actual subs as such today, but the timing of them.

We had control from after Gray's goal until about the hour, but Hull's manager made some good changes and switched their shape. Benitez couldn't comprehend that and that's where their second goal comes from - an inability to change and keep the momentum going, even though we should have scored to finish the game off (and that's on the players missing them obviously).

We were by no means incredible once we went to 433 but at the very least we matched them up in midfield man for man.

@BirkenheadBlue when it comes to how the players are set up, Benitez is the biggest problem, because that's his job.

When it comes to running the club, he's obviously far down the pecking order of problems.

I am agreeing with you, just thought worth adding in that caveat ;)
