Apart from a fifteen minute spell in the first half with two good goals, Grays goal in particular was excellent with quick non hesitant passing and cool finish, I thought we were poor.

Time and again Keane brings the ball out of defence looking to pass and there’s no options other than the full backs or a diagonal to Gray or Gordon. The middle is outnumbered.

We rely far too heavily on individual brilliance rather than team coherence and that only gets you so far. Hull are a struggling team in the championship and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to hope a premier league takes the game to that sort opposition for more than a brief spell in the first half.

This fellas appointment is a godsend to the trolls . Win and it’s rubbing it in people’s faces, a poor result is weak excuses to antagonise those already angry.

The result is in. It's you.

We won today and you're hating it.

A supporter normally celebrates a win. So yeah, it's defo you.
I’m pleased to have won - as I already said to you. I just have higher standards than scraping a win against a half strength Championship relegation candidate. You don’t.

Disastrous.

How is it disastrous when we won the game?

"Disastrous"
"Disgraceful"
"Pathetic"
"Terrible"

...WTF are some people supporting this team for if they come out with utter tripe like that when we win a game and book our place for round 4?

Have some people been that bent out of shape by Benitez being appointed that they've become alienated form an Everton away win in the FA Cup?

Horerendous. I actually feel a bit sorry you if you do feel that way.

I'm very pleased we won and so are the majority of blues. How have you become so detatched from main stream Evertonians that you'd not feel like the rest of us?
This has about as much self awareness as Benitez.

Also, sorry, his subs are just baffling. Not the actual subs as such today, but the timing of them.

We had control from after Gray's goal until about the hour, but Hull's manager made some good changes and switched their shape. Benitez couldn't comprehend that and that's where their second goal comes from - an inability to change and keep the momentum going, even though we should have scored to finish the game off (and that's on the players missing them obviously).

We were by no means incredible once we went to 433 but at the very least we matched them up in midfield man for man.
Wonder if young McCann is a manager to keep an eye on?

I'd HATE to be in a position where an Everton win caused me such unhappiness as I detect from some.

Utterly hate it.

You've taken a wrong turn - and for the worse - when you end up like that.

Keep hearing he’s stubborn and won’t change though, same tactics every game…..but he literally changed formation a few games ago….
But the formation isn't the same as tactics.

Tactics is about movement, how you press, where players run and how they link up. The build up from the back, or going long to target certain defenders and play off them. That's tactics.

Tactics is not putting 541 or 442 or 4411 out. Anybody could do that - kids literally do do that - and have no idea of tactics.
