Nottingham Forest are a very good example of what difference a good coach can have on a club in disarray. They had mad unrest between players and fans, disliked directors, questionable recruitment, 5 wins in 27 before Hughton sacked. Now complete harmony, just below play-offs, just 3 defeats since he took over.

Meanwhile... sacking Benitez won't magically solve all of our problems, but you can't discount the potential effect that could be had by swapping him with a genuinely good manager or even just a mediocre one that the fans and players can have faith in.
Going off topic slightly but Steve Cooper is definitely a coach to keep an eye on for the future.

We won 3 of our last thirteen before benny came in, hardly a huge drop off at all
13 points out of 36 and a cup loss to man city during a big injury crisis.

This manager has what, 6 from 36, and (in 90 mins) drew against championship relegation scrappers, also with a number of injuries.

We would be top half with that extra 7 points. It's more than a 50% drop off in points returns.

Both are awful. But it's worse now.

More Kopites on here than we initially believed, the IN has gone up a bit since we fluked an extra time win against a team in a relegation fight at the bottom of the Championship, absolutely jawdropping.... They will have the club they deserve and be the 1st ones moaning when the club goes down and ceases to exist, relegation would send this club in to financial meltdown.
Nah defo its blues voting for him just for a giggle. Its like I said a while back on here. Some of our fans have been let down once to often and now actively hate the club but they're in to deep and have supported us to long to just walk away so instead they take a perverse joy in watching us endlessly fail. They want us to be crap for the collective fume! They'd probably be happy to see us get relegated just for a laugh, knowing full well the truly epic, apocalyptic level meltdowns that would follow on here!

Yeh, it’s not like we were peak Barca like people are making out though
