In the summer if we are losing the likes of Richy and DCL to clubs at our level like with Digne we may as well just pack up because I do not trust this guy to buy suitable replacements, his targets are woeful at best.........

He isn't though. It's difficult as a blue to be objective, but he can manage a team more than competently. He is past his best obviously, but to call him average when he was at his peak (if I've read that right) is a poor opinion.

He's painfully average and reactive for me now. Look at his RECENT record. Failure in China, was poor to average at Newcastle, failed at Real Madrid. He may have been decent in the past when tactics were different and you could work on a defensive share then a few players in forward areas made the difference but now he is way past it. Managers can become out of date look at Mourinhio. Defensive counter attack football is out of date now the only top team I can think that play this consistently are Athelti and they difference is the squeeze and press like mad and are very difficult to break down. We are very easy to play and score against. Most other team's play a form of 433 and rotate constantly keep the ball and then press when they don't have the ball.

A worse record than Mike Walker. Is that objective enough for you? That how competently he's managing this team. I couldn't care less about when he was at his peak either. That was nearly twenty effing years ago.
