I get the impression from his signings he wants to sign younger players who are perhaps more willing/eager to follow his instructions than potentially some of the more older players.
I'll judge come end of the season - we had plenty of seasons under Moist where we started awfully then picked up 2nd half so fingers crossed.

The way Tony Gordon was hooked again, makes me even more convinced that the manager plans his subs in advance. No one with a tiny bit of football acumen understands that sub. And we were absolutely hopeless for 20 minutes after he went off. It let Hull off the hook.

The 20 minutes after he went off was the period we lost control. We looked likely to make it 3-1 and then it was 2-2, and we just about held out for ET. The issue wasn't Townsend coming on, the issue was who went off. Rondon offered nothing at any point of the game, and should have been taken off, but Benitez has made it clear that he only comes off as a last resort, like we saw after 116 mins or something like that?
