We were crap for 15 minutes and tbf Hull were actually very good. Amazingly this is what happens in cup games. The defence isn’t right and he’s trying to fix that, I thought the new LB did ok. I was pleased with Gomes in midfield and apart from Rondon the attack was reasonably fluid. It could have been 3-3 or it could have been 6-3 to us. It’s pointless talking about the goals we conceded because we all know the problems. But the goals we scored were all first class, one passing through the defence, one a peach of a cross from the wing and one a screamer. We have DCL and Richy to return with Gray, Gordon and Townsend all playing well. Apart from Rondon, he seems to be buying well. We still need a commanding CH and a consistent midfield, and then to get the dross off the payroll. We won’t be relegated, we will improve and may well end up with better acquisitions…. I was nervous the other week but less so now….
The second half was very even.
In other words, our level was the bottom end of the championship.

A lot of people seem pretty sure that benitez won't be around too much longer. I find that quite surprising. The owner has already given him his long term backing and given him freedom in the transfer market.

The anti manager atmosphere and negativity I feel is wasted energy and counter productive. Man needs a chance with a couple of windows under his belt.
If he won more than 1 league game since September I feel it would be less ot an issue.

Tbf to Jaffa he didn’t buy any of those CB's. I think Keane is a disgrace.
I'm pretty sure Keane was being talked of as maybe making the England squad for the Euros on the back of him having probably his best overall season in a blue shirt, not so long back. What you're seeing is the Rafael coaching effect. Keane worse, Godrey worse, Holgate worse. You wont need too many fingers n toes to count the players he's improved instead of regressed.

Yet he didn’t make it because his form dipped mid way through the season under Carlo, are you saying Carlo also made him worse?
