If he goes wonderful. I can only see Ferguson taking over as interim which is not ideal but I imagine the morale of the squad will increase immediately, maybe only temporarily given that we have a few wastes of space in the squad, but maybe long enough to stave off relegation

I'd wager when Big Dunc takes over that is literally just the plan for the forseeable: boost morale, galvanize the lads, get some spirit into the team, smiles on faces, and most importantly get the fans behind the players as we try to take as many points as possible from wherever we can.
