Sacking a manager can be a huge backwards step, but at the moment we are already going backwards so in this case it could be regarded as a step forward. to put it this way, under Benitez we won’t beat Villa, but anyone else in charge I’d be a little more confident. I mean if they dont sack him the atmosphere next week will be toxic and that won‘t go away soon.
