Well he's gone. I'm sure some are happy although I'm not sure what the gloating is about. It's a sad day for the club to have to get another manager again as it means the club is not doing well. Is that something to be happy about? You would like to think a new manager will be different although the last few years suggest otherwise. I'll be reading some of the same toxic posts in the new manager thread soon enough.

The sad part about the clubs statement and some comment from some individuals on this forum is that for all that has happened since he was given this poisoned chalice of a job Benitez is a genuinely decent human being

Think about it mate. He was never going to win the fans over with his past history and small club jibe, and should not have been appointed by the board.

Along with that, his results were a disgrace, so people are more relieved than gloating because the arrogant man was only taking us one way. Nothing was ever his fault.

I highly doubt so. There's a difference between childishness and being mature. The manager will be different but history has shown that the same abuse will be there.

He is a human like all of us.
I don’t feel sorry for him as a football manager it is part of the job , but I don’t dislike him. He tried. He took the job and it didn't work out. We have bigger issues as a club for me to be worried about one man. I worry about the club now.

No current that I have heard but Reid, Steven, Naysmith and Stubbs sound, like me, that they are just exasperated with this Board. My head feels ready to explode.

I turned off SSN when at 8.03, they yet again showed the rs chanting his name. Really thinking of cancelling Sky tomorrow.

Mike Walker won six games as our manager. All of those wins were league games. Rafael Benitez won seven games as our manager, but two of those wins were cup games against lower league opposition. So that means Benitez only won five league games.

It also means that Rafael Benitez not Mike Walker, is the worst manager in our modern history. Throw in the fact, he was more unpopular than Sam Allardyce as well!

Under this kopite clown, we also suffered our biggest home derby defeat since the infamous Glen Keeley derby. The Benitez era at Everton, was record breaking for all the wrong reasons.lol

Yeah me too, I don’t agree with the abuse, and I’m just glad he’s gone.

Be great if we could get rid of the board who appointed him as well as they are as much responsible.
