""I think the results weren't there, we weren't too surprised, I don't think Rafael would be too surprised. The results weren't there."

He also said "We need a winning manager. A manager who can come and win games of football, build something and get us back up the league."

The sad part about the clubs statement and some comment from some individuals on this forum is that for all that has happened since he was given this poisoned chalice of a job Benitez is a genuinely decent human being
