He's the best thing to have happened to us in a good while.

The club was slowly sinking under a squad of overpaid lazy shirkers who had no fight in their bellies.

Benitez will slowly change that over time and put some hard work and effort back into us.

The SOS brigade wont like it as we wont be playing 500 sideways and back passes every game but over time they'll come to accept it.
SOS.....Sons of Shankley?????

?

Benitez - I said a few months back he's an old fashioned strong man coach. He'll lay down the law and that will be that.

James leaving underlines that. No way was he going to have that running sore ooze into the rest of the season.

Decisive.
Interesting language used there, "strongman" is often how dictators like Putin and Kim Jong-Un are described.

Give Benitez time and resources and he'll do a good job here.

I agree.

But, will he get the time though?

With injuries stacking up, results will suffer and the inevitable calling for his head will get louder and louder.

In the next window we HAVE to strengthen the squad, otherwise a 10th place finish is highly doubtful.

If need be with FFP and all that, Richarlison might have to be sold so as we can get some depth in?

If we can get through this season, then I believe Benitez can start making way for some silverware.

Kim Jong-Un claims he mad a hole in one 5 times. and his football career was cut short by errrm, a matter loosely described outside his country as too fat.
Putin played centre back for the KGB, but it was fatal for anyone who nutmegged him.

And they often stick it to the Americans. Ill have some of that.

A strong coach is exactly what we have needed for a while, coming from behind twice this season is testament to the belief the squad has.
Even on Saturday despite all the missing players there was belief and effort from the players, it made a terrible result easier to take
I believe the rest of the squad weren't in James's camp and would have wanted Benitez to take control of the situation. It looks like he's done that now. That can only reinforce his command of this squad.
