In what way?
He was told to get out of the Cloub the day Benitez took over.
That is bound to effect your enthusiasm for the Cloub.
Ok Benitez wants him out because he’s managed him before and doesn’t fancy him, answer me this, if he’s such a god given talent and no trouble at all - why does NOBODY want him???????

All the big Benitez supporters seem to be the ones who court controversy and the anti Benitez are the ones that seem a bit more measured. I'm on the fence really but he needs to start learning from previous managers mistakes. For example Keane/Mina as CBs together is too slow and leaves us too deep. We haven't got the players for 3 at the back. Try making proactive subs instead of reactive or negative subs.

I believe the rest of the squad weren't in James's camp and would have wanted Benitez to take control of the situation. It looks like he's done that now. That can only reinforce his command of this squad.
Interesting to note we have had two players not want to play for Everton recently, Kean and James, only for some odd reason some fans stuck up for one more then the other, cant think why

The same fans who were putting up threatening banners outside his family home and demanding him sacked after a pre season friendly defeat?

Thats not being measured thats being a whopper.

Anyone putting banners up or threatening I agree with you. The ones who don't want him because of his negative football which I was one a lot of us are open to persuasion but he is already making the expected errors. Him being former RS doesn't bother me its the football he plays that does. I was the same about Allardyce. However he is here now so if he starts learning from his and previous managers mistakes he has my full support.

We are 6th mate.

People need a reality check of where Everton is - no trophies in 26 years, no european football in around 5 years.

3 wins out of 5 - bloke is doing a good job - tippy tappy football doesn't equal results look at us under Silva and Martinez.

Benitez is just doing what he was hired to do here. I'm sure he's delighted that James looks to be going, but not, I suspect, as delighted as Moshiri and the board.

Benitez is here as the fall guy, the club know that he can keep this rag tag squad in the prem, they also know that Benitez is unpopular enough with a section of the fans that he will be the one taking the flack

The past transfer window and the current shameless hawking around of James to any club that may have an interest are just the start. Moshiri is a businessman and has now decided that enough is enough when it comes to spending on the squad, I think in future its sell to buy.

I'm sure that Benitez was well aware of the situation before he took the job.

We can’t play his calculated footy without goal scoring threats or pace. Not getting Diaz (and the RB in for that matter) was a huge blow. I’m just clueless as to how we survive with injuries. We can’t really do too much with the status quo. Have to find the answer somewhere.

Fixture list has been relatively kind. I'm guessing we will be 8th/9th after 10 games and may slip further. I hate tippy tappy almost as much as I hate hoofball. There needs to be something in the middle and Benitez isn't the coach to find it. I wanted the manager after Ancelotti to be the one but I'm not convinced. However as I say if he starts showing that he's learning I will put my hand up. No more Burnley esque starting line ups and better substitutions than against Villa will convince me.

It is safe to safe that every Evertonian will agree with this, mate. ?
