Unfortunately I expect exactly the same in the FA Cup. Entirely because managers of teams that aren’t the elite don’t get sacked for not winning a cup, they get sacked for losing league games. We’ll be out of the FA Cup by the 4th round.

Yeah, this is concerning me. Particularly in the last couple of games when we've lost our goal scorers to injury, not an awful lot of pragmatism to sure up the defence when we're lacking in attack.

Exactly we were masking over the others conceded for that exact reason. But surely like you say if your goals are gone it's clean sheet time ?

Early days I know but our defence has been the one area of the pitch not hit by injuries (other than Godfrey's illness) and it's looked proper dodgy.

Then again, the failure to get a right-back and deciding to loan our only back-up lb out is tantamount to two career enders

We played exactly the same today as we have in most of our games so far this season. No control, all about 'intensity' but just completely erratic.

We finished 10th last season with a -1 goal difference. We've added a couple of free transfers and spent 1.5m on Gray, why would anyone expect to be playing like a prime Brazil?
