This is a big statement based on its week 1.Going out of his way to try to win favor is certainly not an example of affection for the club though, is it? It's self preservation knowing he has to do that extra work. It's was smart of him to do it though.
The fans were booing at the HT whistle and rightly so. He made some subtle changes which worked and he got his subs right against a team that is likely going down.
One Benitez crafted 2nd half swallow doesn't make a summer...just sayin like...but on the form of the last half of the season - (on field 11 and ex manager both) we probably would have lost that.Such is the state of modern Everton. Simple decisions. Actually feels like we are being managed. Its glorious.

Edit; I know, I know, he set them up for the 1st half too
Thanks but it was love at 1st sight for me and Mrs J 41 years ago.Same as when I first saw Alan Ball play for us.I thought it was always supposed to be that way!!Nice honest reply jazzy, and to be be fair many people start off not liking someone, at least that’s a feeling, and then fall in love with that person, just saying like jazzy!!
I did, but I thought I ought to mention it in case I got buried in a pile of whataboutery, because it's a fair pointBut he owned up and changed it for the better. Take that into account.

He has been accepted at Everton since they day he was announced, ask the match goers if you dont believe me, before and after the game he was welcomed and thanked by the actual Evertonians.
You do realize we won? Which is what the Evertonians wanted, much to the annoyance of the hope we get beat cultHahaha what was he getting thanked for mate?
