Yes I can, it makes no sense what you wroteI know you can read mate.
No. It should be possible to beat a 2nd tier side with a rotated 11.
My point is every manager rotates on some level. It's the nature of the competition.

He didn't put out a stronger team v Salford.
All mangers rotate in the early rounds of this competition. In every single club .
Who was the last manager we had who played a full strength side against lower league opposition in the league Cup?
Doucoure and Coleman didn't play, so not full strengthHang on, let's go back to your question.
Last season.
Carlo Ancelotti, in the same round of the competition - against much weaker opposition;
LC 3 - Fleetwood Town. http://evertonresults.com/match23092020.html
Rotating teams is part of the game. Koeman, Silva etc all did it but not to the level Benitez did.
So let's get it right - Benitez putting that starting 11 out last night was Benitez showing contempt for the competition.
He's rightly taking flak for putting this team out;

To QPR, away. I said before the result that 11 doesn't get a win.
We were missing big players already in Pickford, Coleman, Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin.
To then decide to also rest Allan, Doucoure and Gray was piss poor from Benitez.
He didn't bother his arse to put Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison on the bench against Huddersfield either and got lucky when we went down to 10 men without a striker.
The bloke just doesn't fancy the league cup.
No manager at this club should be allowed to piss away any opportunity to win a domestic trophy and that should be made very clear from any Director of Football.
We're approaching 30 years without winning a trophy.

There's no option but to give them opportunities. Gomes and Davies are the only backup to Allan and Doucoure. Can you play Doucoure and Allan for every game of a 40-game season?Any team with Holgate Godfrey CB pairing, Gomes Davies CM pairing, Kenny at right back and Begovic in goal is going to struggle away at mid table championship opposition.
At what point are we going to stop giving opportunities to these players to inevitably let us down again. The manager picks the side and he got it wrong. These players were not good enough to be expected to win this sort of game. It was complacent and disrespectful to the opponent, the fans who travelled and the competition.

Most of our injuries seem to happen in training, so what is the point of resting players for competitive games?
A lot of players with the top clubs routinely play 50 plus games a year. We aren’t asking that of anyone.
They get opportunities when injuries inevitably occur. You don't give them a chance for the sake of it.
The fact they performed so badly is on them though. They shouldn't get another chance.
Keep picking the same players and expecting different results is not going to work.
