If they’re spending crazy , state sponsored , money I’d expect them to do well eventually but let’s face it it’s a lot easier to tempt a player to London or Paris than Newcastle. That’s not being disparaging it’s just fact .

I think the club will spend big next summer tbh with the proposed FFP changes and likely Richarlison off to PSG to replace Mbappe.

I think Benitez is here for many years to come praise be ???

Success is winning something.

Progress is showing that you are on the path to potentially winning something.

He did neither. His MO is to stop clubs being relegated. ...... Unless you consider an Olympic sprinter successful for not winning medals but not coming last?

I won't hold benitez to something at the end of the season .....I will hold him to something over the course of the season. At the moment he is ticking boxes and is on course for what I would call a good season.....
