Stop making things up FB.

Apart from the initial issues when some isolated thug made idiotic death threats against him ( which you can't blame the general Everton fan for) he has been pretty much accepted by the fan base. A few people on twitter were against him but most managers get that. He was given a warm reception at the first game at Goodison and the vast majority have since gotten fully behind him. Even on here less than 6% have said that they are against him being Everton manager. You don't get much more conclusive than that.

So please stop all this he's badly treated crap. They may not adore him as much as you perhaps, but generally the huge majority of the fan base is behind him.

I wish I was making it up mate - you see it on here all the time soon as a few posters have hit the ale "not long until he's gone" "sacked by christmas" "always be a Kopite".

Whilst it may be a man and his dog its a very vocal man and his dog that he could do without particularly when he's actually doing a bang up job.

That was a quick about turn.
The 95% quaking in their boots in case Benitez shows where his loyalties lie.

But ...but ....its that nasty 5% that are forcing him out ....rotters.

Its like being jilted by a pig even before you put the lipstick on it.

Seriously
Those Arabs lash obscene money at him and a bottomless pit to spend , he's gone.

I can’t imagine the new owners of Newcastle would want him. After all lots of people on here keep telling me Benitez is a dinosaur, not achieved anything in years etc. etc. Surely they are not stupid??? Anyway we will see in the fullness of time. If I was a betting man I would say he will stay at Everton and keep up the good work ;)
When this buy out was first mooted nearly two years ago the man they wanted to manage Newcastle was Mr. Benitez with Amanda Stavely pushing for him

If Benitez was out of work I’d say he would still be the man they wanted to manage the club, I hope he is settled here now and refuses any offers if they come, but with the money Newcastle have now they could make him an offer he couldn’t refuse. I hope not, I think Benitez is the man to finally sort Everton F.C out, on and off the field given time.

PSG and Chelsea were both very good in the late 90s

And are both in the capital city - not some provincial outpose like newcastle
Good like Middlesbrough in 2005 though.
Not Everton good.

No he's not. He's class. He'll stay, loyal to his players and employer.
It's called being professional..

Anyone seriously think the Saudis are gonna look twice at Benitez, even with the decent job that's he's doing here so far, needs their bumps feeling.

He simply isn't in the top echelon of managers currently - Christ, there's Conte and Zidane sitting on their jacksies out of work and available now.

The Benitez bandits need to calm down and change their drawers - you're pin up ain't going anywhere.

Success is winning something.

Progress is showing that you are on the path to potentially winning something.

He did neither. His MO is to stop clubs being relegated. ...... Unless you consider an Olympic sprinter successful for not winning medals but not coming last?

I won't hold benitez to something at the end of the season .....I will hold him to something over the course of the season. At the moment he is ticking boxes and is on course for what I would call a good season.....
So, for clarity, after 7 months consistently moving up the table you saw no progression but after 7 games you are all in on Benitez (you were actually all in before a single competitive match had taken place according to your posting history) but he doesn't actually have to win anything to consolidate your opinion? This is what I was getting at in my OP. You are inconsistent in your outlook. I have consistently stated that, in my opinion, neither Allardyce nor Benitez are appropriate as Everton manager. I was pleased when Allardyce left and will feel the same when Benitez leaves us. Owners, players, managers all leave eventually, the fans will always remain, I don't for one second believe that a lack of faith in any single representative of the club makes anyone less of a fan of this great club. That is where you and I diverge.
