The excuses are becoming ridiculous. The team, Moshiri, Brands, now the crowd.
5 goals at home to Watford, 5 goals! The effing Watford team that has one good player in it.
Even with half a team injured, the Everton manager, whoever he is, sets the others right and we at least don' t loose even if we have a bad day. This particular Everton manager failed miserably with that task today.

It's on Benitez to a degree, but people have forgotten in a hurry just how abysmal we were under Ancelotti at home.

Remember Fulham? Josh Maja helping himself to two goals, completely abject 2-0 loss? Same sort of performance.

The consistent feature in this is the players. They are terrible. Actual professional cowards who put in these performances over and over again.

You can criticise Benitez for facets of the performance - set pieces and substitutions, totally on him. But it's so, so much deeper than that.
I agree with this because it's happened under manager after the manager the issues go from how the club is run from the top down and how we operate like a farce when it comes to recruitment. Look hard at our squad it isnt good enough and barely has cover in several key areas that when we get one injury to a first eleven player it's a disaster. But that's why hiring RB was mad because we needed stability and a long term rebuilding and I am just not sure he will be given the time to do that for very obvious reasons but also his tactical shortcomings.

The last 4 or 5 managers have proven you cant get any success out of this squad of players. Why are the coaching staff and the owners allowing the same players play game after game to prove they are nothing more than championship fodder?

The club is a joke.

I wish it was that simple but when you have Davies, Iwobi and Rondon on the pitch it's like playing with 8. You could add Gomes and Sigurdsson into that mix also. We are not going to be able to bring on players that are the same quality as the ones they replace as they wouldn't be at Everton sitting on the bench if they had that talent. Basically...

It’s funny how the squad is ignored in discussions when we play well and win though.

...The first 11 are decent enough as there are players whose strengths cover the weaknesses but get beyond that and it falls apart.

We have had an Everton that moment where the spine has been ripped out at the same time. These results will happen if we keep getting this kind of luck and nothing can help in these circumstances as we aren't utd to be able to stockpile decent players, paying them god knows what to keep them happy.

Did Klopp lose 7-0 to Villa in his first 10 games?

I couldn't care less tbh - we are 9 games in and top half after horrendous luck with injuries and no money to spend in the summer.

If people are this bad with the manager I'll make sure to remind them of holding the next manager up to the same Real Madrid level of scrutiny.

No, he didn’t, so yet again you’re just typing out words straight from your bum hole.

….I think it’s the most deluded statement I’ve heard on here from a few folk who say Evertonians love losing so they can criticise the manager.

Evertonians support Everton, Evertonians are desperate for their team to win. Whoever thinks Benitez is so important in the scheme of things to get in the way of that fundamental principal thinks Benitez is more important than Everton.

Evertonians want Everton to win, Benitez isn’t Everton.

I think the first half a dozen results may have led us to think that we were capable of more than we are at the mo'. Before the season started, and due to the spending situation currently, it might have been accepted that Benitez would try and keep us mid-table before spending restrictions allowed us to push on. Maybe expecting us to carry on with our near 2 points a game tally was too much to hope for long term.

I had some hopes for Rondon but he offers absolutely nothing (hearing our fans (?) pleading with the ref to send him off near the end was absolute gold though) which, for me, is a no-brainer for dropping him to give a youngster a run-out. Just got back in from the game and that last 25 minutes or so was something else in the dropping tools stakes, we made Watford look like Brazil, we're playing Brentford soon and they will give us 90 minutes of what Watford gave us for 25 today.

Looking at the positives, at least I got a place to park.
