Have you ever seen a new manager just walk into a club and not buy any of their own players?Do FFP/PL sustainability rules around transfers affect staff severance packages? First I’ve heard of that.

Personally want to give him time we’ve have everyone else time only right to give him another 2 windows and see how where it takes us logically speaking lad.Its not banter. Its supporters trying to make their voice heard to an owner and board who made a highly divisive decision. We need the club to get back to its senses. We are on the right path and fans don't want to see the club embarrassed.
Nothing - but who gets the job when you sack him? What’s that got to do with us not being able to sack him?

They will if we lose 2/3 games on the bounce. That's what our fans are like. There'd be some loon posting on here that the new manager needs to go after a few bad results.

Name a manager that can get a tune out of this motley crew?
This just shows how brow beaten a fanbase we have become. We've won 1 of our last 6 games in all comps.
Villa (A) - 0-3
QPR (A) - 2-2 (lost on pens)
Norwich (H) - 2-0
Man Utd (A) - 1-1
West Ham (H) - 0-1
Watford (H) - 2-5
Any manager would, and should, be fair game for criticism after such a run.

Accepting mid table as the norm cos its been this way for years.
If that was Chelsea he'd be sacked , no ifs or buts about it.
Even Watford wouldnt put up with it...christ.
We are going to have a massive turnover of players in the summer. We need a proven squad builder in place ahead of that. And ideally someone who can at least organise us defensively. Benitez has proven over a long career that he is inept at set pieces.Nothing - but who gets the job when you sack him?

Rondon looked more tired than both for the whole game, and he offered nothing! Gordon looked one of our best players to me, and got subbed off. We should always play our best players, we can’t afford to bring them off, and persist with terrible ones, through fear of them getting injured! I’ve lost all faith in Rondon, and in Rafael as long as he persists with him. I’d rather see Iwobi start up front, and I don’t really want to see him play again either! We made some terrible mistakes, but with better management from Rafael, we could have won easily. He substituted them, when we were 2-1 up, and Gordon was really tired, and gray seemed to have a slight knack. You wouldn't want them to be injured as well, when we are 2-1 up at Goodison, and in just 15 mins our defense crumbled, who would have expected that? Look at those mistakes, last 4 goals, look at the position and touches of davis, Godfrey, Keane , Allan...this is beyond any hope till Rafael goes in market for atleast two -three seasons with decent backing.
Great - we could sack him, I agree with youI wasn’t discussing if we should sack him I just said we could. You’ve had a bit of a mare here - maybe time to put the phone down.
