Looks like 1 teacher thought 1 pupil drinking water in front of others who couldn't drink it would be teasing but the child mustunderstood and thought it meant he wasn't allowed to drink water all day and the teacher failed to explain this properly.
The school realised the teachers mistake and apologised and said yes of course pupils are allowed to drink water, however they're asked to be respectful of pupils who may be unable to do so, a good thing to teach kids right?
Its clearly not "Oh my god those muslims are making british kids dehydrated ffs" and i'm sure no reasonable person would read that and think anything of the sort. If anyones to blame its a daft teacher.
Letting the non muslims drink would help the muslim kids respect the fact that non muslims don't have to adhere to their stone age ideology.. no?
Or are you suggesting that only non muslims need to 'learn' respect. Because even if it wasn't that's how it comes across.
I mean the fact that this practise makes kids ill should be enough for our government to outlaw it, it's an utterly ridiculous concept - I saw some trailer for some programme (british ramadan or something) and some guy was making big virtue out of it ('it helps us empathise with the poor blah blah)
Firstly if you have to 'learn' this every year then the lesson can't be that good, can it? Secondly, muslims give less to charity than non muslims and volunteer less time. Thirdly, let's be honest, around 95% of muslims wont keep to the fast.
Can't help thinking it's posturing by the religious folks trying to demonstrate their 'superiority' over the weak minded kuffar.
I don't need some out dated ritual to realise people who are worse off than me are worse off than me. Call me crazy!
That said, the teacher is definitely to blame. But her paranoid behaviour hasn't come from nowhere, if you get me.
