No mate I haven't. I am waiting to actually watch him play.

Until then it's actually pointless to try to rate the boy.
Why would you 'lol' at others for being concerned going of the reviews though? I can't understand that. If they were race reviews their would be non of this. Unfortunately we have spent a lot of money on the kid and I think it's worthy of discussion.

I would add that their wont be an Evertonian that doesn't want him to be a top CB, I just don't think at the moment, given the 3 things we know

1. Poor reviews
2. Martinez record in that market
3. His cost considering our apparent lack of funds

That fans should be criticising fans for being slightly/firmly worried.

I think you got the last line wrong haha.

Firstly Vickery has proven to be wrong on several occassions. Just a talking head.

Second, I reckon our scouts and Martinez (and our board) wouldn't spunk 10 mil unless they felt he had real promise.

Third I've never seen him play. River Plate ain't no mugs though. Winning the Copa is a big deal.

So for those reasons I find it silly for anyone to worry/criticise the move until we actually see him play.

OK, how about the positives.

1. He's an Argentinian international.
2. He's a Copa Libertadores winner.
3. The fans of the current best club in South America are generally gutted he's gone.
4. Martinez also identified John Stones, so hope is not lost on his defensive target acumen.
5. He's tall, quick and left footed, and young. He ticks every box to play long term with Stones.
6. He's known to be very good in the air, something we're sorely lacking.
7. He has kept every FM players fanboy favourite Eder Alvarez Balanta out of the team.
8. Vickery thought Coutinho would be a laughable failure in England.
9. He's not even near his peak, yet already has plenty of experience as a footballing winner, albeit at a different level.
10. He's not Alcaraz or Distin.

Tim Vickery knows his stuff like, but he's been wrong before.

Have to hope he is, i mean we were wrong about McCarthy and Bobby was right, he has done better for Everton than we thought he would when we signed him, even if he has been poor this season so far.

If nothing else, it sounds like he'll help us defend set pieces which is good because we currently suck at those, and we have for a couple years. He's seemingly got everything from a physical standpoint. Work on the mental aspects and composure, and it sounds like he'll be all right. It's a lot of coin for a 3rd CB, but it's obvious he's meant replace Jags in a couple years. Gives him time to bed before that.

That was a pretty miserable night, though, wasn't it? well, aside from the win and hoisting the trophy. Granted I was knocking back cervezas, but I seem to recall it absolutely pouring on the pitch.
Horrible weather glorious night
Like the reaction to the goal El Mellizo is good at clasicos he will enjoy Liverpool game

that kinda reminds me of a certain Costa Rican...

would add to number 4. he also brought Ashley Williams to Swansea and Galloway to us mate - who thus far looks half decent. and add to 8. Vickery thought that Paulinho would be a massive success in England and to 6. He actually scores goals with his head and take a boss free kick
