Why? Jagielka has been brilliant. Let's ease this lad in as gently as we can because there's bound to be some bumps along the way.

Once he settled in (he was ropey the first 15 minutes or so), he was very good. Read the game well and covered excellently. Cleared a couple covering Jags.

Exactly. Probably the best goal I scored in my playing days came from putting my wrong foot through a ball from 35 yards with the keeper slightly out of position.
I think one will go in eventually and it'LL be madness

Looks like we have a steady CB with Mori. He has only played a few games and looks like he is settling in just fine. With the small squad we have quite a few defenders have had to be put in the deep end during RM's tenure and they have come up swimming like Olympians. Credit to RM and the players.

Been thrown in at the deep end, and has coped well. Don't really know what more can be asked of him so far. Looks a good buy. More than capable of playing to a very high level week-in, week-out for us.

The makeshift defence is doing an outstanding job for us. Can't praise Jags highly enough - has shown real leadership on the pitch.

Have to say I (like many others) was disturbed by Tim Vickery's comments when we signed an 'unknown' South American Centre back.
My reservations were eased when it became evident that he was highly thought of by the River Plate fans, who were devastated at losing him.

Early signs are that the fans of River Plate know a damn site more about togger than some self professed "south American football expert"
