'' I can go winner ". he also spoke of Gallardo: " He resigned himself to let me go because I was very good for economic River "

  • Ramiro Funes Mori is living a present dream. After having become a mainstay for River, the 'Twin' was summoned to the Argentina team at the same time he decided to give up the excellent chance of winning the Club World Cup to go to try their luck in one of the most important leagues in the world: the Premier League.

After confirming his move to Everton in exchange for 8 million euros for 80 percent of the ball that has the 'Millionaire' (thus becoming the most expensive defender since its founding), the defender left the country to leave for England. It makes it clear that before stood before the microphones to say goodbye publicly around the 'World riverplatense'.

"It was very quick. I'm happy and sad because leaving River is not easy. I was many years there ... Thanked the World River, coaching staff, players. I could not say goodbye to my teammates because he was very fast. We knew the offer was not only good but very good for River economically, gave everything ", started manifesting defender from the airport.

While expressing his feelings continued: "This is a dream , just started, I'm young and everything comes together... The transfer team. I am grateful worldwide River knew it was a difficult decision, but. always said that if a good offer came they would talk. I wish the best to all my colleagues, to go ahead. "

"The six years I spent in River I was fine, I gave everything as a player I'm happy because. I feel winner, turned all dreams River: Libertadores, Sudamericana, Recopa ... One could return everything to the club " Funes Mori said excited.

Central also referred to his dialogue with Marcelo Gallardo: "We had a good talk, he understood the reason , it was very good for economic River he resigned himself to let me go.. I spoke very well with him and all ".

"It was difficult decision because it is difficult to leave River , the largest in Argentina . I still do not fall, they are making at the moment. I would have liked to play the Club World Cup, but I feel I left everything for the shirt, gave their lives for the shirt and thank God I can go I won it, " he said.

Spot on ATB, good reporting that mate.

I'm assuming that by his words he doesn't seem too concerned about the work permit so I think we may already have that sorted.

if he's that confident and judging by his words yeah work permit probably isn't a issue.

Definitely mate. Sounds to me like he's coming over to finalise deal and everything else has been sorted.

Happy days if true, another player in and someone who we ain't seen much of so starts with a clean slate and hopefully he's up for the challenge

Agreed.

The guy has "international quality" and I think it was never in doubt. Despite what the FUME artist says.

The guy has won everything in Central/South American club football.

Scored in the final of the Copa Libertadores and the winning goal at Boca last season.

Called up for Argentina and seen as the future of the Argentinian defence.

Maybe this point has already been made, but I hope Mori isn't being brought in to replace Stones.

The reason I say that is because it doesn't look as though he's going to get much game time with Stones and Jags
holding down the CB spots, and he doesn't sound like just a squad player.

He is a centre- back isn't he?

Guys,

Take care of him, support him, love him, bet on him. He will pay you back sooner or later. It's possible will be not easy for him to adapt to BPL but he is a winner and he will find the way to be succesful at Goodison Park. He could turn beautiful the third kit! lol

Me, any River Plate fan too, will miss him badly. Ramiro is a kind of hero for us. Hope will be one for Toffees.

PS: his surname is Funes Mori, not just Mori.

Thank you, he is in safe hands!!

Is he the future centre back for Argentina or has he got to develop some more for this?
