Tim vickery says he is too slow, small and technically not good enough! Can't wait to see him.

Come off it, Dave. I suspect Vickery has seen him play more than you.

He's entitled to his opinion about the player. Time will tell if he's right or wrong.

He's entitled to it and I'm entitled to suggest the manager of the South American club champions and the Argentinian national manager know infinitely more about the player than some nerd BBC football correspondent.

Franco Di Santo was an Argentinian Martinez signed who has caps for Argentina. He flopped in the Prem.

Nothing is a given, so with regards to footballing opinions, I think you should really wait until he's actually played for us for a bit before you can laugh off Vickery's thoughts.

There are so many variables to a player settling in at a new club in a new country anyone predicting the outcome is just tossing a coin.Time will tell and if we keep Stones and he's able to bed in slowly, all the better.

Di Santo was young though, he's boss now.

Regardless, it's a question of whether or not they will make it for your club in your league.

Forlan was a class player, but a poor signing for United.

Fact is, we have no idea if Funes Mori will or won't be a good signing. But Vickery has watched him play at least, unlike most on here, so is entitled to say whether or not he thinks he'll be a good signing.

No idea why we have left this and Rodriguez so late - surely we could have picked up these South Americans at any point during the summer.

Vickery knows more than our scouting network and management obviously, haha. He's just another media man. He might have watched alot of South American football but he's a complete scruff. He seems to be the only football correspondent in South America so everybody takes what he says as gospel.
