Mate you are just about the most fair dinkum poster here but a replacement for what exactly? The lad is our best CB (regardless if that speaks volumes about the dross we've got or not). Even if we brought in two new CBs, he would still be our best backup. Even of Holgate surpassed him, he would still be an ace second back up. Even by that, to even consider binning we would need 3 new CBs.

Would be nuts to sell him.

Perhaps, but always felt his errors could have been reduced/mitigated as the errors he makes occur when he is trying to be someone he isn't. Plenty of other CBs make errors, because they just aren't any good, errors you live with. Play him alongside a ball playing CB, and tell him to keep it simple, not try Mascherano type passes and he'll be fine.

e; Can't really think of a CB, from a club lower in the league who I would rather have. That includes Maguire and Mawson. On that alone, at the very least he should be kept, even if I am proven wrong and he turns out to be at best, a squad player.

I remember 2 occasions last season when he messed up trying to clear a high ball into the box. He wasnt attempting a cryuff turn.
