1 Bedroom flat above Bargain Booze in Page Moss is the same price roughly as a luxury 4 bedroom house with a twin garage and pool in Texas AND I can sit on a porch with a gun muttering "keep outta moi prop-erty"

He's got round it somehow though, maybe because it wasn't legally his until he was 18. All the forms were filled in when he was 17 so I guess that may be the reason. Lucky sod!

Home prices here definitely did not inflate like they did in other areas of the country.
You get a lot of bang for the buck when you buy a home in Texas.
On my street alone, I have two sets of neighbors that used to live up in the Northeast. When the saw what you could get home wise for the price, they sold out up there (at exhorbitant prices), and bought for less than half down here and put the rest of the money in the bank.
