Home prices here definitely did not inflate like they did in other areas of the country.
You get a lot of bang for the buck when you buy a home in Texas.
On my street alone, I have two sets of neighbors that used to live up in the Northeast. When the saw what you could get home wise for the price, they sold out up there (at exhorbitant prices), and bought for less than half down here and put the rest of the money in the bank.
Bill, believe me mate. The first bit about the flat above Bargain Booze isn't far of either, you could get a decent enough house in say, Sugarland for that. In fact, when I get the time later I'll price it up!!!
