Rangers Fans = Scum

Just read on The Guardian the incident being recounted by the police officer that was attacked.

Scary.

he's been on the news
i know a cop who was on duty, prior to it he was supposed to be off but all of them were called in, i will quote him," 1st [Poor language removed] i see singing in the street i'll drag in on a public order charge, thats me out of the way then for the whole shift a si'll be in the station booking him in and charging him"
the guy who was fixing the screen was on the radio too.

not trying to make excuses hear guys but the folk behind this are not "rangers fans" as buying a top for 18 quid and heading to manchester with a big carry out doesnt make you a rangers fan

i went myself with a ticket for the game, went to the fanzones(piccadilly) had a drink and had a ball,as did most of the fans i know(personally and thru gers forums) the trouble was started by the minority who will never have seen ibrox in their life. too much drink and manchester not being prepared for 200000 bears was mostly to blame, heavy handed cops didnt help either but that doesnt excuse the mayhem that occured just because a big screen didnt work

the riots have really spoiled a great day, which should have been 1 of the greatest days of my life but please dont label rangers fans as thugs,as 99.9% of fans like myself who go to most games are nothing like these morons

Right, so it was mainly undercover Rangers fans? combined with Manchester not being able to control violent thugs?

Fair enough.

its easy to be flippant when your teams fans arent being slandered

my point is every club has its hangers on who dont positivley follow the team to matches.the trouble was started by morons who dont go to games(42 arrests and not a ST holder among them) as for manchester, they tried to stop fans without tickets coming in first place and then when they decide its ok only put on fanzones with enough space for around 30,000 when they were warned it would be nearer 100,000(the total was nearer 200,0000)

all in all a total balls up but as i already said it doesnt excuse the riots or mayhem. i just dont want the guys who follow our team labelled the same as the drunken neds,in the same way as if i said to you"if you follow england, you must be a hooligan!" this wouldnt be fair on most england fans

we are being tarred with the same brush, as you are being called british, make it scottish and then we aren't being tarred, you wanted your own identity and to put scottish as your nationality so now you should be called scottish. i have said that i've seen people on the vids stepping in to give the scrotes a wacking, they should have done it when the guy fixing the screeen was bottled and thus left with the screen un-fixed.
as for living with the consequences, it's what you will have to put up with, this club more than any other suffered when english teams were kicked out of european competition and in fact we were prevented from enjoying the hospitality that you enjoyed in florence just because of the city our team comes from, florence was dry (alcohol wise), flights diverted, no chance of entry to the stadium despite it being 2/3 full, and the reason given as,"what do you expect you come from liverpool." i expect we will suffer this season due to the actions in manchester of scottish( and probably some irish) people so dont come on here whinging to us.
and by the way whichever of your loyal fans left a northern ireland flag on the lamp-post on the a580, it will be removed forthwith.....so you can stick that up your kilt, and deep fry your season ticket for all i care.

go home

how u can consider blaming manchester mystifies me, the hundreds of fans charging down that street are to be blamed, not just the minority who were actually arrested and certainly not the authorities for not supplying the c**ts enough screens, when they were getting fixed people were hurling abuse at the engineeers....scum

when i went to fiorentina, i ended up watching it in a basketball arena where they put a big screen up for us in there, it was playing up for the first 10 minutes, but no one threw anything at the guys fixing it, we were just grateful to be accommodated and had somewhere to watch it...although we were treated like [Poor language removed] from the police, and no one would have begrudged us attacking them, everyone got along with it...no beating up police, no pushing an walls on any italians, no nothing. and it cant even be blamed on defeat, coz we were just as [Poor language removed] as you were last week, yet we still acted like humans, all of us

Deep fried season ticket

I especially enjoyed that bit Reidy.

i have my moments.

blame everyone.... it's part of their culture.
expect to be fined by uefa....how many times will that be this season ?
and what about the trouble in the stadium ......ibrox stadium?
the stabbed russian......oh forgot thats in their culture too.
sectarian singing in manc............culture ?

seems you should be known as "culture club", of the type grown in a petri dish.

well put mate(y)

if it was just abuse it wouldnt have been so bad, i'm sure the engineers wouldve flicked the v's, simulated a kiss my arse motion and got on with it, the guys were bottled, canned, spat at and piss thrown at them, bet the radio rentals guys need a "polis" escort up there, taggart to fix the telly.

Some very holier than thou/judgemental posts here.

Every team has its arse holes. This could have happened to any team
