how good was that?

  • close to perfect...a 10 out of 10

  • very good, better than most other clubs...an 8 or 9

  • decent, happy enough...6 or 7

  • average, some good, some disappointing...a 4 or 5

  • poor, unbalanced...we're deffo worse now...a 2 or 3

  • unspeakably bad...(shirley no one will vote here?)

About a 7 for me. Would have liked Mina to not have a buy back and it could realistically be fairly low as Barca will have known we were out of time.

Zouma signing with an option to buy would probably put it to an 8.

A few more outgoings would also help raise it a bit.

But otherwise, a very decent window with the key areas filled.

I think 2 things stand out for me this window. First is the quality of the signings. Of course its all on paper at this point, but its 2 brazilians in attack, and 3 barcelona players in defence and midfield, with 1 chelsea player thrown in(If we complete Zouma signing). Second, its how well though out they seem to be. Unlike last year when we needed a LB and striker and got neither, we needed a CB, and got 1, maybe 2. We needed a CM and got one. We needed attacking help and got 2. We needed a LB and got one. We didnt leave gaping holes, and we got players at the positions we knew we needed without loading up on pointless positions we already had settled.

I've gone with option 1: Close to perfect.... a 10 out of 10 just because of the euphoric feel at the end of the window and the drama it's caused. Hey, we could have got our business done early like other clubs and been comfortable, but nop we do it the Everton way.... we've stolen the show today though, the Sky Sports circle jerk kopite crew are speechless, it's glorious.
Sky are fuming that it was us and not one of the SKY 6 who has done the most business and got the headlines. I've given it 9 as would have liked Schneiderlin, Bolasie and Besic to have gone but very happy with who we've got in, doing the reservoir dogs dance to steelers wheel with a Stella and it's going down lovely, roll on Saturday COYB:dance::drunk::pint2::pint2:

Waaaay beyond my expectations. I thought it would take us 3 windows to shift the deadwood we’ve already shipped out & looks like we could still ship a couple more.

Richarlison is exactly the kind of player I want to see at Everton.
Bernard was a real shock! Really excited to see what he can do.
TBH, I’ve not really seen Digne (apart from the friendly) or Mina (apart from WC) & never really watched Zouma or seen Gomez at all, so fingers crossed.

I voted 8-9. If we ship out Sandro, Bolasie, Besic & maybe even Schneiderlin & Jags this month and the signings gel, could be a 10.

If Zouma signs, then a solid 8 from me.

Strengthened the defence, brought some exciting talent in and one for the future in Virginia.
Shipped out a fair bit of dead wood.

Being super critical, we left a lot of it very late which could affect the early games.
Gomes a bit of a risk with injury, form and being new to the league.
There's no plan b for if he doesn't work out and we get stuck with the same centre mid problems.

Shipping out Besic and Bolasie would have been idea as well, but hey ho!

Just have to hope Tosun doesn't get injured either!

Put away until January

I would have liked another striking option, but the improved service our current group will get is still a good result.

Marcel did an amazing job clearing out as much rubbish as he did, with more time to keep selling. I thought it might take a couple years and he binned off nearly everybody in a single window.

It was left late but I suppose he needed to fully assess what he had here. Getting rid of some deadwood was good and bringing in above average players is a bonus. CB(s) brought in was absolutely vital. LB brought in also. Hopefully they can all settle in quickly. The attack is looking like we have the pace to cause problems, the defence has been deemed not good enough so he has worked on that. All I can say is well done Marco, Marcel and Moshiri for assessing and acting. Still not kidding myself we are going to crack the top 6 but hopefully we start seeing something happening to give us hope and seeing the first building block in place.

We can now field three sides

Pickford
Coleman
Mina
Zouma
Digne
Gueye
Sigurdsson
Rocharlison
Bernard
Walcott
Tosun

Virginia
Kenny
