its not over tho, we can still buy a player from lower leagues, maybe a ST

Who you fancying?

Let’s go get Pukki.

I think at this stage we’re not getting a striker, I don’t think there’s the quality from Lowe leagues to get us to where we need.

The only striker I can think who’s in the champ who regularly slots is Grabban and he’s proven he’s at his level already.

Watching norwegian deadline broadcast.
"Expert" (Huseklepp who played briefly for Portsmouth) announced the following "winners": Chelsea, Liverpool, City, Newcastle, Tottenham

Switched to SkySports:
First host: Arsenal, Chelsea, Villa, Liverpool.
Kaveh: Chelsea, Liverpool, City, Tottenham

Was angry and speechless at first, then I remembered Trump is the president of USA. Then I started to miss Merson....

The original Native “Messi”, was playing for abrann when we beat them 6-1 if I’m not mistaken, utter Kopite fraud.

Honestly it’s difficult to give an honest assessment at the moment because we’re all a bit giddy. On paper I would have only given it about a 7 to be honest, but clearly if we carry on like we’ve been playing so far it’s a 10.

It's absolute nonsense that they go through this whole "The Window has closed" when it's still open for 2 weeks.

It's a farce.

Also, someone check on the safety of Harry Redknapp. He had the gall to mention Everton and now he's vanished.

Hope you're OK Harry.

All for the “FIFA LADZ” mate.

That’s why the lads wear trainers on set and turtle necks too. Also why Kaveh and Dharmesh have a TV show 5-days a week.

They do it for the “intermediate” football fan who will believe any old trash.

Any normal fan knows Romano, Joyce etc are the sources.

It’s trash TV equal to the same as Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Jim White on deadline day for example? What’s that about ? What a decent presenter before Sky started messing with who they wanted to target the audience at

Just saw it myself. They have to perform acrobatics to not mention us.

Just for 1 minute, just imagine if we actually won the league... Imagine the state of that seasons Premiership years.

It would be hilarious.
I imagine it will go something like:

"This season shouldn't have happened"

"It's a disgrace that it was allowed to continue with covid"

"It wasn't a proper season. Just look at the crazy results"

Etc.

I don't think we were ever going to 'replace' Pickford. I don't know why people convinced themselves otherwise.

The club clearly started the window trusting Pickford. I'd wager up until the Fleetwood match there was actually no real intent to even try for another GK; if an opportunity came up then we'd maybe make a move, hence the Romero intermediary chat.

The Brighton game the other day was the final push for us to go and get a stop-gap in to push Pickford, who now has this season to save his Everton career – he's "on notice", as it were. If he doesn't pick up, we have a better back-up ready and waiting to take his place. We clearly wanted Romero and United blocked that move. Olsen was the one available with the budget we have.

The Kean one is weird. It's not so much replacing him, it's just we needed a bit more quality in that area of the squad anyway imo. A forward who is versatile enough to play in a few positions.

Had we got Tomori on loan, we wouldn't have got Godfrey and maybe that money had been earmarked for a forward. Perhaps with the injuries we've had we've again had to allocate funds we had earmarked for one position to defence. But Godfrey looks like he could be a great addition for us.

Overall I'm thrilled with the players we got in. We've got a very good box-to-box player who has Prem experience, and then Allan who has slotted straight in. In James we've got the best player I've ever seen in an Everton shirt, in terms of his technical ability on the ball.

If we go and get King then it could give us another option and while I'm not buzzing at the idea of it, it'd be decent. Though i'm yet to see any evidence we actually are in for him, it's just more a gut feeling.
This, plus I would've liked a couple more outs. If we manage to shift Besic, Bolasie, Pennington, Baningame etc.. to the EFL, Russia, Portugal or wherever I'll happily bump it up to a 9.

Sky Sports' Paul Merson:
"I think Thomas Partey a top drawer player. I nearly fell off my chair with £45m, I don't think that's a lot of money at all for the quality of player.
"One thing he brings as well is discipline. Atletico Madrid are probably one of the most disciplined teams in Europe and he will do that. He's not a midfielder that goes running all over the place, he's very disciplined and plays in a disciplined team and I think he will be a great signing.
"I think what Mikel Arteta is doing, he's trying to get rid of the players who aren't involved, he doesn't want them hanging around and he wants them out. Fair play, I like what Arsenal are doing."

45 mill is apparantley no longer a lot for a 27-year old.
Unless it is no world-wide pandemic and economic crisis or if they are premier league proven I guess?
At least it is not enough to ruin the transfer window

I’m sure I’ve read all that somewhere before lol

Let's see.

Niels, so good it's almost a shame we have Digne. Left back is sorted for a generation. Bargain price.

Allan, the best defensive midfielder we have had since our glory years in the 80's. Shields, reads play and can pick a forward pass. Quite old but we didn't break the bank.

Doucoure, mobile, tall and another who likes to go forward. Good price, especially seeing what we were quoted a couple of seasons back.

Godfrey, at last, a fast, powerful centre back. He will be first choice by next season and will be a linchpin in our defence for many years to come.

Olsen, an international keeper, he should be able to claim crosses at his height to take the pressure off the defence. Hopefully Pickford bucks up his ideas and starts playing well and we don't have to use him but if he doesn't, just the fact he isn't Pickford is a start.

James, probably the best (outfield) player we have had while I have been alive and possibly ever. On. a. free.

That's before we say we got rid of 100k'ers Morgs, Sandro and Walcott. Ok we have to pay some wages and didn't get a lot back but they are gone.

All this while in an uncertain financial climate where we got told we would have to sell to buy. I'd say that is pretty bloody good. It can always be better but we've gone from holes everywhere to a point where next summer we only need to target 2/3 positions.
