8/10. Right Back probably needed a starter, Right Forward and Striker needed a back up one player could potentially have covered both. The 6 players we did bring in though were all in positions that were needed and James alone praise needs to be handed out but Allan and Doucoure have made it look like they've played together for years. Nkounkou was an excellent spot. I'm hoping Godfrey might be Holgates eventual partner and if Olsen makes Pickford up his game its an absolute result. The other slight negative is Besic and Bolasie hanging about but hopefully they will get moves to the Championship.

9. Didn't expect the mess to be sorted out this window. Very happy with the incomings. Should get rid of more sandbags in the next 2 windows so Carlo's Balloon can truly soar

IMO got to be a 10/10
James and Allan the two best signings of the window done by any club
Doucoure not far off the two above
, Godfrey and Nkounkou for the future with loads of potential

10

Yes, I would have liked a world class keeper, striker & RB.
I’d like to be better looking with a 12” hampton and receive a multi-million inheritance from a rich aunt I didn’t know I had.

Is it the best window in the club’s history? Yes. No other comes close.
Hamez, Allan, Doucoure & a couple of exciting prospects. That’s a 10 by any metric.

All of the incomings look very good (no idea about the keeper though tbh), and we've added to the defence and transformed the midfield. My only concern is if anything were to happen to DCL, especially given his current vein of form. The outgoings illustrate how hard it's going to be to shift some of the deadwood we've accumulated over the years, but we're gradually getting there. If we can move one or two onto Championship clubs then it will have been a cracking window.

8. The business we did was excellent.

James would never join a club like Everton. He did. We have real world-class star quality in the team there.

Nkounkou looks far from being a mere prospect, it will be terrific to see him grow into the player we all think he is going to be.

Concern about lack of options at RW and not replacing Kean. Hope we have something in reserve for January we shouldn't dismiss that opportunity.

We have probably improved more than any other side. And our strongest XI is now very decent bar Pickford. I didn't think that was achievable at the start.

Looks like the demons of last summers window have been put to rights firmly. Onto a successful season hopefully and continued good work in the market.

Only 80+ days to go to the next window, we can offload the dross to EFL in next two weeks and finish the excellent recruitment in January. A 10 for me. Rodriguez and Allan alone are the highest quality.

....we always have one of these threads, but at least on this occasion we’ve had games so have an early indication of the undoubted level of improvement.

The proven ability of Rodriguez, Allan and Doucoure is already evident, but the most promising aspect is the thought that has gone into their acquisition. A clear strategy at play, we had a porous and ponderous midfield but that has been addressed with solidity and running powers of recovery coming in. We have struggled to create but now have quality to unlock defences.

The really good sides have genuine threat in the top third and I’m so chuffed we now have genuine threat in the top third.

Potentially we haven’t seen the best. We have long needed Rolls Royce pace and power in central defence and I believe Godfrey could be the best long-term acquisition of the window. Again, an indication of a transfer strategy. Finally, it seems Brands has unearthed a gem in Neils Nkounkou.

I have no issue with Kean leaving. He‘s been largely ineffective and I don’t think his loss leaves us weaker. It’s difficult to do everything in one window but it’s clearly been very positive.
