9/10, some superb recruitment's.

Just a shame we are light up top but hopefully either they've seen enough to think Simms can step up or we have our eye on a championship player.

Was hoping we'd shift out more but I'm sure we will in the next week to championship clubs.

Just goes to show some of the wages we handed out to the likes of Bolasie, Besic, Walcott, Sandro and so on makes it really difficult to shift them, no chance of getting a nominal fee for any of them
I bet there is a lower league player that they fancy and we will look to get them in in the next fortnight

I think the most pleasing aspect of the window was that we didn’t panic buy like last year with Iwobi or overspend on a player like 2016 with Bolasie and 2017 with Sigurdsson. We took our time and negotiated reasonable prices and it paid off

9. The midfield desperately needed sorting and they’ve done that with aplomb. The mess that this squad was in will take several windows to sort and be very expensive - I’m looking at you Sandro, Walcott, Tosun, Bolasie....Pickford. At least we’ve made a start.

So we were pretty poor, then the window came, now we are top of the league and looking superb. Um, 12 out of 5 for me.

9 just because we are light up top.
It was only over a month ago that some on here were wetting the sheets that Brands would leave it last minute as we needed to 'sell before buy' and we were doomed to start the season with the sig/davies/gomes triangle of death.
Since then we've had the most magical transfer window possibly in our history with the week long stalking of our brand new rolls royce midfield, and two exciting young players to build us for the future.
Less than 3 months and then it will be jizz time again when King Carlo has Donnarumma on a pre contract ;)

8.5 for me, bit unfair given how much brands had to do, but think he's done the same as last year and left us light in a key position. But it's mainly because of a lot of big wages staying on the bill too.

We've improved in 5 of the positions though in gk, cb, cm x 2 and rw. You'd say we're weaker in both full back positions, up front and the rest have stayed the same you'd say.

But obviously the improvements we've made are massive whereas the weaknesses are only minor anyway. Our dealings aren't over yet either so plenty of time to get that up to a 9.

9.5 as we are short up top as stated above. Either brings in a Josh King or we see more playing time for Gordon (all for this out wide) and Simms (only the coaches will know if he would be up to it )
Icing on the cake wold have a keeper lined up to come as first choice next summer.

After the trio of Allan, Doucoure and James, we should remember that GK, RB, Striker were merely secondary to sorting out that midfield. With DCL's performance, striker requirement was lessened, and with injury to Holgate we needed a central defender. We all know Pickford is woeful at times, but with the midfield protecting the defence now, and them being able to do their job more effectively because of it, he should be less exposed. Kenny here now as RB cover doesn't inspire me, but he's only young and might develop on the training ground under Ancelotti.

9/10. And that's an excellent score. Roll on the next window and try to strengthen the weaker positions and lack of depth in the squad. Also I happy to see what's going on on the pitch in the meantime. Good times Everton wise, good times indeed. I hope to be writing the same at the end of next transfer window.

Loving the "light up top" shouts. It's a curse really, sort of means we don't all trust DCL to lead the line despite his incredible form. Which is a sound shout.

Tottenham have had this problem for a long, long time now with trying to secure a backup for Harry Kane. They just can't do it. And we were probably very, very close to doing the exact same idiot move as them by signing Llorente.

All that said, i do agree we are light up top, and the best way to fix that is for DCL to continue dominating everyone for the entire season. Let's go!

Before the window we needed a proper holding midfielder, a box-to-boxer, a left footed RW, and a new CB and/or cover for RB.

Got them all and they're all actually good at football.

Could argue we are lacking cover for ST and a decent GK, but certainly not priorities.

Also needed to shift some of the flotsam. Sooooo glad Walcott and Sandro are out the door.

10/10, and we've got another week or so left to strengthen and/or shift players if we feel the need.

Anyone rating less than 10 needs to take a look at themselves

And what happens if DCL is out for 6-8 weeks with injury or goes on a dry spell?

You cant rely on 1 CF all season especially when we get to December and play every 2-3 days and have the FA Cup games and League Cup quarter final thrown in its a breeding ground for muscle injuries not being able to adequately rotate/rest.

This window is up there with 06-07, both brought in a couple of smart signings that vastly improved the squad. 8.5/10 for now, let’s see who else we can shift
