RBL News:
- DFL plans changes to possibly relax hygiene concept in the stadium edging closer to getting fans back but likely not for the start of the 2020/21 season.
- Still no news on Werner's expected change to Chelsea; Mintzlaff has said they were made aware a couple of weeks ago that Timo was in the process of the transfer but no one has paid the buyout clause yet.
- Club expecting to hear shortly whether Upa will extend his contract or if the club will sell him this Summer. Deal runs out 2021 and has a 60m release clause till June 30th. Club adamant they won't let him leave for free.
- Nagelsmann very unsure whether the club will be able to keep even one of Schick or Angelino this Summer; combined they'd be between 40-50m and the club requires CL qual for this to work but they're also a bit stuck as they're renovating the stadium right now too.
- Former RBL Head of Recruitment and current Red Bull Technical Director Paul Mitchell being courted for the Monaco Sporting Director job.
- Long term target Tanguy Kouassi, courted on a free transfer from PSG this Summer, is expected to sign a pro deal with the French club.
- RBL expected to sign Man City U18 forward Charlie McNeill this Summer following on from capturing Noah Ohio last season.
- Club tentatively linked to Cengiz Under (Roma), Marko Rog (Napoli/Cagliari) and Samuele Ricci (Empoli) but the fees make this look unlikely. However a link to Dutch second division player Anthony Musaba may be more realistic and he's been on fire on the right-wing for NEC Nijmegen.
- Obviously still a lot of talk over who will replace Werner if he goes and most of the noise from the press (and some from within the club) is for Werder's Milot Rashica whom, after the weekends defeat, is edging ever closer to relegation and a much cheaper transfer fee. Club were also finally quoted as interested in Salzburg's Patson Daka whom I've long said is a natural replacement for Werner stylistically.
