RB Leipzig

Are these transfers not just legalised money laundering to get around ffp?
They're all owned by the same group aren't they?

Yes and no. Something happened, maybe last summer, where the clubs are actively trying to disconnect further from themselves. It’s still an “easy” move for a lot of them as they know the Red Bull way but they’re not fully jointed otherwise players like Erling Haaland would be at RBL.

Club announce the first signing of the Summer in Hwang from Salzburg on a 5-year deal for around 9m. Should also have Benjamin Henrichs announced possibly today as he had his medical yesterday - that will be a loan with obligation to buy for 12m. Club are trying to arrange a further loan for Schick (but with obligation to buy included).

"With Hee-chan Hwang, we were able to sign a player who fits our requirement profile perfectly," said sporting director Markus Krösche, unsurprisingly. "He can play any position in attack, come from the outside lanes or act as a central leader. He makes our offensive even more flexible with his speed and maneuverability. Hee-chan Hwang has played a great season in Austria, both as a goal scorer and a preparer and especially convincing in the Champions League."

Still need another striker, a proper centre mid and a 6 that can play in defense.

There we have it as written early - arrival of long-term target Benjamin Henrichs on an initial loan from AS Monaco.

"We have been dealing with Benjamin Henrichs' commitment for a long time and are happy that we have now been able to bring him to RB Leipzig for the coming season," commented sports director Markus Krösche about the deal. "Although he is only 23 years old, he has already gained a lot of experience - both nationally and internationally. Due to his variability, he will give us additional options in tactical defense."

"After two interesting years in France, I am very happy to be back in the Bundesliga," said Henrichs. "For me, RB Leipzig is one of the most exciting clubs in Germany and also in Europe, and I am back in the game with a young team Champions League accomplished. The club has ambitious goals and the team has a clear style of play, which I was able to convince myself of in my four duels with Leverkusen. After the long forced break in France due to the end of the season, I am now all the more burning to finally be back on the pitch and tackle this new stage. ”
