RBL look set to lose another CB this Summer with Liverpool seemingly in position to trigger the 40m release clause for Ibrahima Konate. Whilst he's a top talent, better than Upamecano for me and someone I'd look to keep, I wouldn't scoff at 40m for someone with his injury record.

Belting news. Out of the crop of players with expiring contracts next Summer (Orban, Sabitzer, Forbserg, Halstenberg & Tschauner) he's the only one I wanted them to offer a new deal to (whilst selling Sabitzer). Best defender at the club by a mile and a real rock to help ease the new lads in defence next season.

RBL Matchday

It's an away trip in Bremen today to try erase the realisation the title is beyond them now after the Bayern defeat. Should be a pretty straightforward win against quite a poor side but anything can happen. It's a first start for Konate since his injury return and hopefully a preview of him becoming a mainstay next season if he decides to stay (or no one pays the hefty buyout).
