RB Leipzig

The BuLi thread dream is still alive!

I couldn't watch against last night as I had already promised to go out. Stopped following at 2:2, rookie mistake.

Watched extended highlights just now, if that pen was given against S04 or Everton I'd be absolutely fuming lol

I should just not watch until the end of the season - my boys always win when I don't it seems lol

Was a deserved 3 points really. Odd one with the pen, I actually agreed with it, he didn’t have much chance of getting the ball but you can’t shirt pull for that long and not be penalised. Up to 14th now!

I can see why it was given and the shirt pull was stupid on the defender's part but as you said he was at most challenging the keeper which he'll never win there. I mean I'm happy for it don't get me wrong lol

Hertha have a very important (to me) game against Stuttgart, in a "relegation 6 pointer" or whatever pundits call it... shame they're utter garbage.
Bochum also play against BMG today, as well as Hoffenheim - Eintracht. If everything miraculously aligns there's a serious chance to avoid even the relegation playoffs at this rate, but that's pure copium at the moment imo lol

I haven’t looked at your remaining games but I do think you’ll be comfortably safe in end. You could really do with a Hertha win but I wouldn’t hold my breath there.

It's why I'm coping - Bayern (A), Eintracht (H), RBL (A) lol

Seriously need all the help, a Hertha win today as well but that somehow feels more impossible than my boys winning all 3 games really.

Oh Christ. I mean not out of this world you come away with a win against Frankfurt and a point or two with the others. If RBL are guaranteed CL football by the last game they’ll probs be on holiday mode for the cup final too.

Hope so to be honest, but Bayern is pretty much Everton vs City currently - they have it all to play for even if they're iffy currently.

Most realistically optimistic results would be LWD from those 3 games and hoping for the best from the other teams. Stuttgart and Bochum both play Bayer within the next few fixtures, Bochum - Hertha is also happening which is... yeah. Augsburg - Bochum also. Stuttgart - Hoffenheim too...

Like I'd like to be positive about other teams failing at least as we're all crap towards the bottom, but it's a lot of results that NEED to go our way, sadly.

Feels like it's scripted to have everyone on about 30 points or less playing each other currently, except Schalke hahah

I just popped in to say how glad I am that a proper East German football club, which is Union Berlin, has finally stolen the spotlight from this pitiful mockery of a football club created just for advertising the canned piss.

Have they?
Not outside Germany, but they are a big thing in Ost Deutshland. A lot of people couldn't identify themselves with any Bundesliga club for many years and now they can.
I guess their history and always being the "People's club" (as opposed to Dynamo Berlin, supported by Stasi, etc) helps a lot.

Yeh they're a cool club. Not sure there's a spotlight on them though. No one outside Germany could name a single one of their players or manager.

RBL Matchday

A spot of deja vu as it's another tie with midweek opponents Freiburg who will understandably be out for revenge (as well as their own designs for a Top 4 spot). This is 4th vs 5th with the winner possibly going 3rd if Union fail to win their game. There are a couple of changes from the earlier match with Gvardiol & Halste dropping out (injury) and Simakan and Kloste coming in to the defence - also a little test to see which defensive pairing will work best in the cup final. Also, Schlager is back in the squad! He's been an enormous miss. Will be a very tough game, despite the cup result.

Game is LIVE from 14.30pm
